GAS FIRED MULTIPOINT WATER-HEATER
MODEL ZV4-1
[~
Your Admiral Gas Fired Water Heater is an efficient economic luxury appliance that provides an instantaneous hot
water supply to several water outlets, in your home, without the need for storage tanks.
The pilot flame remains alight during operation and is initially lit by a piezoelectric igniter which does not require
electricity or batteries. The main gas burner is ignited automatically whenever a hot water tap is opened and it is
turned off when the water tap is closed.
NOTE: Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1984: It is the Law that all gas applicances are installed
by competant persons in accordance with the above regulations. It is in your own interest and that of
safety to ensure compliance with the law. Failure to install appliances correctly could lead to
prosecution.

Using the temperature selector (9) and the control knob (15) the water temperature can be adjusted over a
wide range to suit individual needs.
1.
When the control knob is moved fully to the Right (symbol
D )
the water heater operates at
maximum gas rate.
Then by means of the temperature selector (9) the hot water temperature can be adjusted between
approx. 35 to 65°C. Turning the selector in a clockwise direction increases the temperature and
reduces the quantity and when turned anti-clockwise the water temperature is reduced and the
quantity increased.
2. If the control knob (15) is positioned to the left at symbol
11',
the water heater operates at half gas
rate. Using the temperature selector (9) the temperature of the water can be adjusted within a warm
water range of approx. 22 to 35°C. The gas rate of the water heater can be adjusted to any position
between the symbols.
If the water heater is not required for short periods the pilot should be left alight. For longer periods turn
off the water heater.

As the water heater is directly connected with the outside atmosphere attention should be paid to the danger
of freezing.
(1)
In frosty weather the risk of freezing can be avoided if the pilot flame is kept alight.
(2)
In the case of severe frost or when the house isunoccupied for an extened period the water should be
!
drained from the appliance. Consult your local Service Engineer.
It is recommended that the cover be wiped regularly with a cloth dampened with hot soapy water and then
polished with a dry cloth. Do not use abrasive powders or strong detergent for cleaning as they will scratch or
damage the painted surface.
To ensure a long life and trouble free operation the water heater should be serviced on a yearly basis by a
competant person. Your local Gas supplier or a recognised CORGI installer will advise you on a regular
.servicing plan.
