FAT CAAD - Maximum 4.8” Tire Pressure Limit

Maintaining Correct Tire-to-Frame

Clearance

In addition to the the maximum tire size for your

FAT CAAD, you must also observe the maximum

inﬂation pressure limit.

Inﬂating beyond this limit could result in incorrect frame

clearance and damage not covered by warranty.

For example:

The FAT CAAD has a maximum tire size

speciﬁcation of 4.8.”

The OE 4.8” tire, maximum tire pressure is

15 psi.

Exceeding the 15 psi limit may expand the

dimensions of the inﬂated tire resulting in

incorrect clearance with the frame.

Although the tire manufacturer’s speciﬁed

range (as marked on the side-wall) may be

higher, the 15 psi maximum must be followed.

You may adjust the inﬂation pressure

downward from 15 psi, but you must stay

within the tire and rim manufacturer’s lower

speciﬁed pressure limit.

When inﬂating the tire,

observe the following :

WARNING

Exceeding the speciﬁed Maximum Inﬂation

Pressure Limit for your frame/tire/rim combination

could lead to a tire/rim/frame failure, and an

accident, with risk of serious injury, paralysis or

death.

Please consult with you Authorized Cannondale

Dealer about the combined frame, tire, and rim

speciﬁcations for your bike.
