1.1 Servicing safety instructions
WARNING: Servicingmustbedonebyauthorizedandqualied technical personnel only, which are thor-
oughly familiar with the product and all of the proper safety checks of this product.
Personal protection
WARNING: Ensure you understand and follow all the safety guidelines, safety instructions, warnings and
cautions mentioned in this manual.
WARNING: Be aware of suspended loads.
WARNING: Wear a hard hat to reduce the risk of personal injury.
WARNING: Be careful while working w ith heavy loads.
WARNING: Mind your ngers w hile working with heavy loads.
Safety precautions:
Follow all s ervicing and safety instructions m entioned in the servicing procedures.
Unplug the tile AC power c ord from the AC power source and wait about 10 minutes before start any servicing to the tile. This
to allow the capacitors to discharge.
Some boards c ontains electrostatically sens itive devices (E SD). Take the neces sary precautions to pre vent the incidence of
component damage c aused by static electricity.
Do not modify and/or replicate any component. Barco uses specic materials and manufacturing processes in order to achieve
part strength. No other parts than B arco parts are allowed.
Additional on-site servicing s afety precautions:
Fence off a restricted area of at least 3 meters arou nd the LED-wall using an eye-catching fence and “KEEP O UT ” signs. This
to prevent unauthorized persons coming near the LED-wall during servicing.
Inspect the complete LED-wall for s ecurity, wear, deformation, corrosion, and any other circumstances that m ay effect the load
handling capability of the part.
Both hands mus t be free for s ervicing tiles in a LE D-wall. Therefore the use of a ladder to acc ess a tile is forbidden. Only the
use o f a scaffold or a Z-lift is allowed.
Do not use the stacker system of the LED-wall to climb into the display. Always use a scaffold or Z-lift to perform any servicing
or r epairing to the display.
In case of removing an LED m odule out of a tile, ensure the module is secured with a safety cable to the LE D-wall structure.
Take the n ecessary precautions to prevent water intrusion inside the tile due to weather conditions.

Back access
Back ac cess means that service of the T F-10 tile ha ppens from the back side of the tile. To access the compone nts inside the tile,
two doors are pr ovided which can easily be opened using a quic k loc k.
Front access
Front access means that ser vice of the TF-10 tile happens from the front side of the tile. To access the components inside the tile,
one o r more LED boards m ust be removed.

Startup sequence:
1. Switch on the m ain power to the TF-10 tiles.
2. Power up the digitizer.
- The digitizer gener ates a START signal for the rst tile.
- The power supply inside the tile starts up.
- The green led indicator on the power supply input port lights up.
- The internal and external fans start up
- The Power distribution board (PDB) starts up.
3. The controller starts up.
- The controller generates the local +5V and the local +8V line voltage.
- The c ontroller monitors the tile
interior temperature
- Stop external fan running if tile interior tem p is lower than 20. O pen external fan running if tile interior temp is higher than
30. External fan k eeps last running status if tile interior temp is between 20 and 30.
4. The controller unit starts to initializ e.
- The gre en LED(s) (congure indicator) on the controller unit starts lighting up after the FPG A(s ) are congured.
- The Yellow LED (software indicator)
on the controller unit starts to ash (half a second on, half a s econd off) indicating the
controller is c ompletely and correctly initialized.
- The green LED (DVI signal indicator) on the controller unit starts to ash indicating the controller receive the correct DVI signal
from previous tile or digitizer.
5. The LED frame receives data from the controller.
6. The TF-10 tile shows video content.

Status LED’s on the controller board
The controller board is provided with a yellow and a green s tatus LE D.
The controller and re-sync circuits are built on the same PCB board of the controller. The controller rm w are
and controller software include the functionality of the re-sync unit. So, the TF-10 does not have a separa te
