PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The ST-BNC/VGA converts Composite Video Baseband Signal (CVBS), Video and S-Video
baseband signals to VGA video. The unit has 1 BNC, 1 S-Video and 1 VGA input connections and
1 VGA output. The unit offers display resolutions up to 12804x1024. Display features adjustable
brightness, contract, saturation and hue as well as image freeze. The ST-BNC/VGA’s non-volatile
memory allows settings to be retained in event of power loss.

INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of electrical shock do not remove the cover or back of this
unit. No user serviceable parts are inside.
CAUTION: To prevent electric shocks and risk of fire hazards, do not use other than
specified power source.
1. UNPACKING and HANDLING
Each unit is shipped assembled and factory tested.
Ensure that all accessories are removed from the container before discarding packing material
2. MECHANICAL INSPECTION
Inspect the front and rear of the equipment for shipping damage. Make sure the equipment is
clean, and no connectors are broken, damaged, or loose. If equipment appears to be
damaged or defective please contact your distributor or SecurityTronix at 1-610-429-1511 for
assistance.
3. WIRING CONNECTIONS
a. VGA OUT Using the supplied standard VGA cable connect the ST-BNC/VGA to a
monitor.
b. Video Input can be achieved in three ways:
VGA IN Using a standard VGA cable connect the ST-BNC/VGA to a PC
graphics card’s VGA port.
BNC IN Using a BNC cable connect the ST-BNC/VGA to a video input device
(e.g. security camera) using the device’s BNC port.
S-Video IN Using the supplied S-Video cable connect the ST-BNC/VGA to a
display or input device (e.g., DVR) using that device’s S-Video port.

4. CONFIGURATION and SETTINGS
a. AV/S-Video Video input selection switch to choose between CVBS and S-Video.
b. VGA VGA video input selection switch.
c. MENU Switch for adjustments among menu items: Brightness, Contrast, Color
Saturation and Hue.
d. OK Confirms menu selection.
e. + and - - Used to make adjustments under the menu items:
When BRI is displayed press + to increase image brightness, - to decrease.
When CON is displayed press + to increase image contrast, - to decrease.
When COL is displayed press + to increase the image’s color saturation, -
to decrease.
When HUE is displayed press + to increase the image hue, - to decrease.
f. RESET Press to perform hardware reset.
