may
result

a
collision, fall,

strap

Injury

two
binocular
barrels
during
eye
width
adjustment.
Be

rubber
eyecups
are
pressed
against
the
skin
repeatedly

Never
use
the
binoculars
to
look
at
the
sun
or
a

lia-ht
source.

eye

binoculars

brought

a
warm
room from acold
environment,
condensation
may
form on
the
lenses. To avoid
this,
seal
the
binoculars
in
a
plastic
bag
before
taking
them
into
a
warm
room.
Allow
the
sealed
binoculars
to
warm
up
before
taking
them
out
of
the
plastic bag.

The
binoculars
are
a
precision
instrument.
Do
not
drop
them
or
subject
them
to shock.
And
do
not
attempt
to disassemble
them.
(4)
Although
the
binoculars
are
waterproof,
it
should be wiped
with
a
dry
cloth
if
it
gets
wet.
If
it
has
been
exposed to
salty
air,
use
awell-wringed
damp
cloth to wipe.
(5)
Do
not
put
the
binoculars
in
front
of
a
heater
or
in
a
car
on a
sunny
day.
High
temperatures
can
cause
the
binoculars to malfunction.
(6)
If
the
lens
needs to
be
cleaned, first
turn
the
focusing knob to
retract
the
binoculars
lenses
into
the
body.
Use
ablower
brush
to blow off
dust
from
the
lens.
Then
use
asoft,
dry
cloth
to
gently
wipe
the
lens
surface
without
scratching
it.
Do
not
use
an
organic solvent to
clean
the
lenses
or body.
(7) Before
putting
the
binoculars
into
the
case,
turn
the
focusing knob to
retract
the
binoculars
lenses
into
the
body.
Storage
(1)
Storing
the
binoculars
in
a
humid
location
may
cause
fungus on
the
lenses.
If
the
binoculars
are
not
to
be
used
for
an
extended
period, clean
the
lenses
and
body thoroughly
and
store
in
awell-ventilated
dry
place.
(2) Avoid
storing
the
binoculars
in
a
laboratory
or alocation
where
corrosive
chemicals
are
present.
Also avoid
storage
in
a
chest
of
drawers.

This Limited Warranty
is
only effective upon presentation of abill of sale, warranty card or other valid proof of purchase.
This Canon equipment
is
warranted against defective materials or workmanship

twenty five years from the date of original purchase;
defective Image Stabilizer units, will be repaired
or
replaced for aperiod of one year from the date of purchase. Equipment covered
by
this Warranty will be repaired in the U.S.A. without charge by Canon Factory Service Centers and Canon Authorized Service Facilities.
When returning equipment for warranty service, the shipping charges must be prepaid and the equipment should·be shipped
in
its original
carton or box, or
an
equivalent, properly packed to withstand the hazards of shipment, and be fully insured.
Abill of sale, copy of this warranty card or other proof of purchase should be enclosed, as well

adescription of the problem, etc.
Repairs will be made and the equipment will be returned, shipped at no charge.
