OPERATION
The heater is tted with a safety tip over switch, therefore to ensure correct
operation it must be placed on a at and stable surface. The heater must not be
placed on the mains cable as this could cause the tip over switch to operate.
1. Set the Heat Setting Dial to “OFF” position.
2. Insert the mains plug into the mains socket. Set the Heat Setting Dial to
“HIGH & OSC” position and the Thermostat Dial to the “MAX” position to
warm up the room. The Power Indicator will illuminate when the power is
on.
3. Once the room reaches the desired temperature adjust the Heat Setting Dial
to the “LOW” position and rotate the Thermostat Dial anticlockwise until the
heater shuts o. The thermostat will now turn the heater on/o to maintain
the room temperature. During particularly cold weather the low setting may
be insucient to satisfy the thermostat. In this case select the high setting.
For fan only operation, select the “COOL” or “COOL & OSC” position on the
Heat Setting Dial. Set the Thermostat Dial to “MAX” position.
4. The heater can operate in 6 modes, “COOL”, “LOW”, ”HIGH”, “COOL & OSC”,
“LOW & OSC” and “HIGH & OSC”.
• COOL mode : The heater is in fan mode and the heating power is a constant
25W.
• LOW mode : The heater is in economy mode and the heating power is a
constant 1200W.
• HIGH mode : The heater is in maximum power and the heating power is a
constant 2000W.
• COOL & OSC mode : The heater will oscillate while in fan mode.
• LOW & OSC mode : The heater will oscillate while in economy mode.
• HIGH & OSC mode : The heater will oscillate while in maximum power.
• Please allow 5-10 seconds for a setting change.
5. To switch o the heater, adjust the Heat Setting Dial to the “OFF” position.
The fan will continue to operate for 5-10 seconds, and then it will switch off.
OSCILLATION FUNCTION
The heater is equipped with an oscillation feature. If you want to obtain a wider
area of heat circulation, adjust the Heat Setting Dial to “COOL & OSC”, “LOW &
OSC” or “HIGH & OSC” position.
CLEANING
Your heater should be cleaned regularly to stop dirt and dust building up
which will aect its performance. Ensure the air inlet and the air outlet are not
blocked. This can be done with a vacuum cleaner, using the brush
attachment.
HINTS AND TIPS
My heater does not work when I turn it on
1. Check that your heater is plugged in and the power is turned on at the
mains socket.
2. Set the Heat Setting Dial to the highest in ”HIGH” position.
3. Try replacing the BSI or ASTS approved 13 Amp BS1362 fuse in the plug.
4. If the heater still doesn’t work, do not try to repair the heater yourself.
If your radiator’s power is automatically cut o follow the steps below:
1. Unplug your radiator and allow it to cool down.
2. Inspect your radiator.
3. Plug-in the radiator and switch it on again. If it cuts off again, move the
radiator to a better ventilated location.
4. If there is any sign of physical damage (e.g. melting, or burning of the case),
do not attempt to use your radiator. Please leave all maintenance work to
qualied personnel.
Do not override the Tip-over Protective Switch as this may cause a hazard.
Using the unit on a deep pile carpet may activate the tip-over protective
switch.
Ensure you unplug your heater from the mains socket and wait for the
heater to cool down completely before cleaning.
It is normal for the heater to emit some smell and fumes when it is turned
on for the rst time or when turned on after not being used for a long
period of time. This smell will disappear when the heater has been turned
on for a short while.
Always ensure the mains cable can move freely while in oscillation mode to
prevent damage to the heater.
SAFETY PROTECTIVE DEVICES
1. Overheat Protection System
The power to the heater will automatically cut o if the temperature of the
heater exceeds a certain limit. In the event of overheating, the heater will
stop operating. Switch the heater o and allow it to completely cool. The
heater will then resume operating as normal.
2. Tip-over Protective Switch
When you use the heater in an upright position on a at and stable surface,
the tip-over protect switch will be on. In the event the heater is knocked
over, the heater will stop functioning automatically.
