UNSAFE ENERGY PRODUCT
Made under Section 9A of the Energy Products (Safety and
Efficiency) Act 2000
The Office of the Technical Regulator in South Australia, has identified a potentially unsafe energy
product, recently available for purchase on eBay website.
The energy product is a EDECOA PURE SINE WAVE 3500W 7000W 12V 240V Power Inverter Camping
Caravan LCD, Model: DPP35 - see photos below.
This inverter was available for purchase through an eBay seller identified as apro365’, we
understand this seller is based overseas.
The inverter is considered unsafe for the following reasons:
Access to live parts / terminals (i.e. 230 Vac) without the use of a tool; and
12 Vdc input and 230 Vac output circuits are not electrically isolated.
The inverter does not comply with Australian product safety standards, and has been involved in a
shock incident that our office has investigated.
If you have purchased this inverter, I advise that you cease using and dispose of it.
