Chapter 1 Overview
This user manual provides the operaon guide of the client. To ensure the properness of usage and
stability of the client, refer to the contents below and read the manual carefully before installaon
and operaon.
1.1 Introducon
The client is used to view and analyze the temperature informaon contained in the pictures
recorded by the thermal device and generate a report. The radiometric images and JPEG images
can be imported to the client, and the client provides image management funcon, including le
classicaon, adding tags for images, etc. Mulple operaons can be performed in the process of
temperature measurement data analysis, including conguring measurements, adjusng
measurement parameters, seng image display mode, seng color coloraon, etc. Aer image
analysis, you can view the measurement results, save the pictures or export the report as required.

1.2 Workow

1. Use your device to take thermal images.
2. Import the images into HIKMICRO Analyzer.
3. Generate a thermography report in PDF format or in ODT format to further edit it.
4. Send the report to other people via e-mail.
1.3 Running Environment
The followings are the recommended running environments for installing the client.

Microso Windows 7 / Windows 8.1 / Windows 10 (64-bit operang system)
Windows server (64-bit operang system)

RAM: 4G or above

Chapter 2 Install Soware
2.1 Soware Installaon
Open the soware installaon package, and then double-click to run the setup, click I agree to
the terms in License Agreement in the pop-up window. Select One-Click Installaon or Customize
according to your requirement.
One-Click Installaon
The soware is installed in the path by default: C:\Program Files.
Customize Installaon
Click and select the installaon path.
Aer installaon, you can check Create a Desktop Icon as needed.

Chapter 3 Upgrade Soware
3.1 Soware Upgrade
Before You Start
An earlier version have been installed.
Before upgrading the soware, please make sure you have stopped running the soware.
Steps
1. Open the soware installaon package, and then double-click to run the setup.
2. Click Upgrade in the pop-up window.
Note
The soware will be upgraded to the same path of the earlier version.
What to do next
Aer upgrade, check Create a Desktop Icon as needed.

Chapter 4 Uninstall Soware
4.1 Uninstall or Modify Soware
Before You Start
Before uninstalling or modifying the soware, please make sure you have stopped running the
soware.
Steps
1. Click → Control Panel → Procedures and Funcons in the Windows operang system.
2. Right-click HIKMICRO Analyzer and then select Uninstall/Modify, or simply double-click
HIKMICRO Analyzer.
3. In the pop-up window, select:
-Uninstall.
-Modify.
A prompt will pop up aer the uninstallaon or modicaon is completed.

Chapter 5 User Interface
This chapter describes the applicaon pages, the supported system sengs, and user help.
5.1 Applicaon Pages
Aer starng the HIKMICRO Analyzer, you are presented with the Library tab. On the top, you can
click Library, Analysis, Report, and Live to switch between the tabs.
5.1.1 Library
On the top, select Library tab. In Favorites Library, click All Files, the center pane displays all les
that have been imported to the client. When you right-click a le, you can quickly locate the folder
where you have saved the images on your computer. When you click a favorites folder you have
created in the le pane, the images grouped in that folder will be displayed in the center pane.
5.1.2 Analysis
Select on the le to enter the Analysis tab. In this page, you can edit and analyze images and
videos for more accurate temperature informaon. In the le pane, you can view the image/video
informaon, congure temperature parameters, and check temperature measurement results. You
can click Report to select a template and generate the report for images.
5.1.3 Report
On the top, select the Report tab. In Report, you can generate a report for images in Task List. Aer
generang the report, you can edit the report, change the report template, etc. You can also
export the report to the local PC.
5.1.4 Live
On the top, select Live. On this tab, you can connect a smartphone module and start live view.
During live view, you can capture images, lay out measurement tools on the live video, and view
the measured results of every frame.
5.2 Sengs
In the Sengs window, you can switch the display language, the display temperature unit and the
distance display unit.

Note
Some sengs require a restart of HIKMICRO Analyzer before a change takes eect.
5.2.1 Switch Languages
In the top-right corner, click → Language to select a language.
5.2.2 Switch Temperature Display Unit
Steps
1. In the top-right corner, click → Measurement .
2. In Temperature Unit, select a temperature unit.
5.2.3 Switch Distance Display Unit
Steps
1. In the top-right corner, click → Measurement .
2. In Display Unit, select a unit.
5.2.4 Switch Area Display Unit

1. In the top-right corner, click → Measurement .
2. In the Area Unit, select a unit.

Chapter 6 File Management

①: Local le. You can view images stored on the local PC and import them to Favorites Library
only or specic Favorites.
②: My favorites. You can manage imported image and video les in Favorites Library or specic
Favorites. The number in the brackets represents the number of les imported and the maximum
number of les that can be imported.
③: Tool bar. You can perform operaons including imporng les, adding tags, deleng les,
renaming les, moving les, etc.
④: Files. Select My Favorites or specic Favorites to view the imported les.
⑤: View le info. Click to view the details of the selected le.
⑥: Filter/sort. You can lter and sort les by condion.
⑦: Task list. You can add local les or les in the Favorites to the task list, for le analyzing and
report generang later.

6.2 My Favorites Management
My Favorites shows all les imported to the client and you can navigate to any specic favorites
folder. For les imported from your local computer or any connected network shares, you can
perform operaons including viewing details, categorizing, eding, sorng, adding tags, etc.
6.2.1 Create My Favorites
When you open the client for the rst me aer installaon, you need to create a path for My
Favorites.
In the pop-up window, select a folder for saving les.
Note
Saving to the C drive or desktop is not recommended.
The folder for saving les should be an empty folder.
You can view or edit the folder path. See details in Change Locaon of My Favorites .
Aer creang My Favorites, sample pictures would automacally be downloaded to My Favorites.
The sample pictures can be used for material management, material analysis, and report
generang.
6.2.2 Change Locaon of My Favorites
You can view or edit the folder saving path of My Favorites.
Steps
1. On the menu bar, click .
2. Click Locaon.
3. Under My Favorites, click to select folder path, or edit the path manually.
4. Click Save.
6.2.3 View Details of My Favorites
Right-click All Files and select View Details to view the basic informaon, including the creang
me, latest eding me, library capacity, and the number of exisng les in the library.
6.3 Favorites Management
You can create and name dierent favorites according to your usage scenarios, and import les to
the favorites. The favorites can be used to categorize les from My Favorites.
Go to Library → My Favorites → All Files to view the favorites list.

6.3.1 Create Favorites
In My Favorites, you can create favorites folders to categorize les.
On the Library page, click beside My Favorites to create a favorites.
Note
Up to 32 Favorites can be created and up to 350 les can be imported to a favorites. Up to 10240
les are allowed in My Favorites.
A Sample Favorites folder is created by default and sample images will be imported to this folder
automacally.
6.3.2 Rename Favorites
Right-click the favorites name and select Rename to rename it.
6.3.3 Delete Favorites
Right-click the favorites name and select Delete to delete it.
6.4 Import File
Before analysis, you can import les to My Favorites or specic Favorites for le management.
Steps
Note
Files that can be imported include images with temperature informaon, namely the captured
picture in the thermal device, and videos with temperature informaon.
Batch imporng les is supported. The le extension should be .jpeg, .jpg, or .rv.
Up to 10240 les can be imported to the client.
Files that are imported to My Favorites only are displayed in All Files only. They do not belong to
any specic Favorites.
Before imporng les, you can congure the import mode. See details in Set Import Mode for
Files .
1. On the Library page, select one of the following methods to import les.
-Select All Files or a specic Favorites and click Import. Select les and import them to the
client.
-Select les in Local File. Right-click the les and select Import to Favorites, and select the
target favorites for imporng.
-Open a folder from the local PC. Select les and drag them to All Files or a specic Favorites.

Note
When My Favorites or the Favorites is empty, you can click the empty area on the right to import
les.
6.4.1 Set Import Mode for Files
Before imporng les to My Favorites, you can set the import mode (copy, cut, or index) for images
and videos respecvely.
1. On the top right corner, click to open the Sengs window. Select Import Mode.

2. Select the mode for imporng images and videos respecvely.
3. Click Save to save the sengs.

Index Mode
In index mode, only the index of the le will be copied to the client for le management. Changes
are made to the source le.
Copy Mode
In copy mode, the le will be copied to the client and the copy will be managed under My
Favorites. The original le is untouched.
Cut Mode
In cut mode, the le will be cut to the client and managed under the path of My Favorites. The
original le will deleted.
6.5 Rename File
Choose one of the following ways to rename the le.
Righ-click the le you want to rename and click Rename.
Check the le you want to rename. Click More → Rename .
Note
The le name in local PC will not be modied aer it is renamed.
6.6 Delete File
You can delete a single le or batch delete mulple les.
Note
Deleng a le under All Files will also delete the original le; deleng a le under a specic
Favorites will only remove the le from the Favorites folder.
Delete single le:
Hover over the le and click on the lower-right corner of the le, and then click OK in the
pop-up window.
Right-click the le and select Delete, and then click OK in the pop-up window.
Batch delete les:
Select mulple les as needed and click Delete in the tool bar, and then click OK in the pop-up
window.
