Topreventnetworkeavesdropping,therootpasswordcanbesetviaanencryptedHTTPSconnection,whichrequiresanHTTPS
certicate.HTTPS(HypertextTransferProtocoloverSSL)isaprotocolusedtoencrypttrafcbetweenwebbrowsersandservers.The
HTTPScerticateensuresencryptedexchangeofinformation.
Thedefaultadministratorusernamerootispermanentandcannotbedeleted.Ifthepasswordforrootislost,theproductmustbe

webinterface.Mostofthesesettingscanonlybechangedbyresettingtheproducttofactorydefault.
CaptureMode
CapturemodedenesthemaximumresolutionandmaximumframerateavailableintheAxisproduct.Acapturemodewithalarge
maximumresolutionhasareducedmaximumframerateandviceversa.
Thecapturemodesettingalsoaffectsthecamera’sangleofviewastheeffectivesizeoftheimagesensordiffersbetweencapture
modes.Ifusingacapturemodewithasmallermaximumresolution,theangleofviewisreduced.
Capturemodeissetthersttimetheproductisaccessed.SelectthedesiredcapturemodeandclickOK.
SetPowerLineFrequency
Selectthepowerlinefrequency(50Hzor60Hz)usedatthelocationoftheAxisproduct.Selectingthewrongfrequencymaycause
imageickeriftheproductisusedinuorescentlightenvironments.
Whenusing50Hz,themaximumframerateislimitedto25fps.
