INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION
- Remove 4 screws indicated in illustration 1 & 2 to remove hood cover.
WARNING: With the hood cover removed the CSE12 unit will NOT be held in the down position.
-Remove 2 screws shown in illustration 3. Ensure that numbers on wires to existing mechanical switch
are legible. If not legible, renumber as indicated in illustration 4. Disconnect wires from mechanical
switch.
-Cut the connectors from the switch wires as shown in illustration 5 and strip each wire 3/8”. Install
mercury hood switch assembly with the two screws removed in previous step per illustration 6.
-Wire nut wires from the mercury hood switch assembly to corresponding existing wires as shown in
illustration 7. Tuck the wires and wire-nuts into the switch box as shown in illustration 8.
-Replace hood cover.
