Stage
1
Pre Filtration
A pre-filter stage should be installed
to protect the RIO 2000 module from
premature blocking. Typical pre-filter
rating would be 5 micron (depending
on sediment loading) and a
20 inch filter is recommended to
reduce change frequency.
Stage
2
Chlorine Removal
If the incoming supply is chlorinated
then a GAC or carbon block cartridge
should be considered to remove
chlorine in order to improve the taste
and odour of the water. Again a 20
inch cartridge will reduce the change
frequency.
Stage
3
Turbidity, Bacteria &
Cyst Reduction
Using the RIO 2000 in a 10 inch
jumbo ‘Big Blue’ housing reduces
turbidity, bacteria, cysts and
sub-micron particles from the water
producing high quality potable water.
Stage
4
Outlet to Drinking
Water Faucet or Additional
Water Treatment
Water is either now suitable for
drinking or for feeding into additional
water treatment systems (e.g. for
removal of dissolved solids by reverse
osmosis or other technology).
