The931WIIhasthreeseparateinterfaces,anEthernetLAN,a

wirelessLANandaVDSL2(WAN)interface.Placethe931WIIina

locationwhereitcanbeconnectedtothevariousdevicesaswell

astoapowersource.The931WIIshouldnotbeplacedwhereit

isexposedtomoistureorexcessiveheat.Ensurethecablesand

powercordareplacedsafelytoavoidtrippinghazard.Aswithany

electricalappliance,observecommonsafetyprocedures.

The931WIIcanbeplacedonashelfordesktop,ideallyyoushould

beabletoseetheLEDindicatorsinthefront,ifyoumayneedto

viewthemfortroubleshooting.

outdoors,WLANletsyouaccessyournetworkfromanywhereyou

want.However ,thenumbersofwalls,ceilings,orotherobjects

thatthewirelesssignalsmustpassthroughlimitsignalrange.Typ-

icalrangesvarydependingontypesofmaterialsandbackground

RFnoiseinyourhomeorbusiness.

Foroptimumrangeandsignalstrength,usethesebasicguidelines:

�Keepthenumbersofwallsandceilingstotheminimum.

ThesignalemittedfromwirelessLANdevicescanpenetrate

throughceilingsandwalls.However,eachwallorceilingcan

reducetherangeofwirelessLANdevicesfrom1to30M.Posi-

tionyourwirelessdevicessothatthenumberofwallsorceil-

ingsobstructingthesignalpathisminimized.
