out slightly, then grab the card and pull it
out.

Do not insert anything other than an
xD-Picture Card or the microSD Attachment

Battery lock knob
Insert the battery by putting in the marked
side rst, with the B marks toward the
battery lock knob.
Damage to the battery exterior (scratches,
etc.) may produce heat or an explosion.
Insert the battery while sliding the battery
lock knob in the direction of the arrow.
Slide the battery lock knob in the direction
of the arrow to unlock, and then remove the
battery.

When the camera focuses on the subject, the
exposure is locked (shutter speed and aperture
value are displayed), and the AF target mark
changes to green.
The camera was unable to focus if the AF target
mark ashes red. Try focusing again.

OFF This cancels the self-timer.

The self-timer lamp turns on for
approx. 10 seconds, then blinks
for approx. 2 seconds, and then
the picture is taken.
Self-timer shooting is automatically canceled
after one shot.
To cancel the self-timer after it starts
Press the Y button again.
Increasing the brightness of
the monitor ( Backlight boost)
Press in shooting mode. The monitor
becomes brighter. If there is no operation for 10
seconds, the previous brightness resumes.
