charging indicator goes off (for approx.

Shooting with optimum
aperture value and shutter
(P mode) .........................................
In this mode, automatic camera shooting can
be used while also allowing changes to a wide
range of other shooting menu functions, such as
exposure compensation, white balance and so
on as needed.
For details on the functions that can be adjusted,
see "Menus for Shooting Functions" on page 24.

movie is fast-forwarded.
Rewind: While _ is pressed, the movie

Shooting Modes
The shooting mode changes in the order of P,
iAIJT0,1_)), SCN, _ each time the I_ button is
pressed. By switching to other shooting mode,
most settings set in other than P mode will be
changed to the default settings of the respective
shooting mode.
Shooting with automatic
According to the scene, the camera
automatically selects the optimal shootings
mode from [PORTRAIT]/[LANDSCAPE]/
[NI G HT+ PORTRAIT]/[S PORT]/[MAC RO].
This is a fully automatic mode that allows the
user to take pictures using the best mode for the
shooting scene simply by pressing the shutter
button. The settings in [h-,_:](CAMERA MENU)
are not available in iAiJTOmode.
Press the I_ button a few times to
set IAUTO.

When the subject is dark, noise reduction is

the shooting time, during which no other pictures
