Once a call for cooling has been satisfied, the Simplicity™
control board will de-energize Y1 and Y2. If the compressors
have satisfied their minimum run times, the compressors and
condenser fans are de-energized. Otherwise, the unit operates
each cooling stage until the ASCD has elapsed. Upon the
completion of first stage cooling, the blower is stopped following
the completion of the fan off delay cycle.
Two-Stage Condensing Unit (PC180-240 or YC180-240)
Matched with a Single, Two-Stage Indoor Unit
When the thermostat calls for the first stage of cooling, the
Simplicity™ control board activates the first stage of cooling by
energizing Compressor # 1 and all four condenser fans. Fans #
1 and # 3 will start immediately upon the call for cooling.
However, the control circuit for fans # 2 and # 4 is equipped
with a fan cycling switch that operates the fans in the 180-280
psig head pressure range. When the thermostat calls for the
second stage of cooling, the control board energizes
Compressor # 2.
If there is an initial call for both stages of cooling, the
Simplicity™ control board will delay energizing Compressor # 2
by 30 seconds un order to avoid excessive inrush.
The indoor blower motor will be energized after completing the
specified time for fan on-delay.
NOTE: Both Terminals G1 and G2 must be jumped together on
the T2 terminal block.

Fan # 1 will start immediately upon the call for cooling.
However, the control circuit for fan # 2 is equipped with a fan
cycling switch that operates the fan in the 180-280 psig head
pressure range.
When the thermostat calls for second stage cooling, the control
board energizes the System # 2 Compressor and condenser
fans. Fan # 3 will start immediately upon the call for cooling.
However, the control circuit for fan # 4 is equipped with a fan
cycling switch that operates the fan in the 180-280 psig head
pressure range.
If there is an initial call for both stages of cooling, the
Simplicity™ control board will delay energizing the System # 2
Compressor and condenser fans by 30 seconds in order to
avoid excessive inrush.

Two-Stage Condensing Unit (YD120-150) Matched with
Two Indoor Units
Two appropriately sized indoor units can operate with a single
4-pipe condensing unit. Each indoor unit must be controlled by
a single-stage thermostat. One thermostat will connect to Y1 on
the condensing unit Simplicity™ control board and the other
thermostat will connect to Y2.
The jumper between G1 and G2 must be removed on the T2
terminal block. Both G1 and G2 will provide 24V signals to
operate their respective indoor fan motors.
When a thermostat calls for cooling, the Simplicity™ control
board energizes the appropriate compressor and condenser
fans. Fan # 1 will start immediately upon the call for cooling.
However, the control circuit for fan # 2 is equipped with a fan
cycling switch that operates the fan in the 180-280 psig head
pressure range.
When the second thermostat calls for cooling, the Simplicity™
control board energizes the appropriate compressor.
Once a call for cooling has been satisfied, the Simplicity™
control board will de-energize the respective Y1 or Y2 signal. If
the associated compressor has satisfied its minimum run time,
it is de-energized. If both calls for cooling have been satisfied,
the Simplicity™ control board will de-energize the other signal.
If the associated compressor has satisfied its minimum run
time, it is also de-energized along with the condenser fans.
Otherwise, the unit operates each compressor and condenser
fans until the ASCD has elapsed.
The appropriate blower is stopped following the completion of
the fan off-delay cycle.

Two Indoor Units.
