1 Features and Functions
1.1 General Introduction
The IR intelligent PTZ dome analogue camera not only gives you 23X optical zoom but also the ability to digitally
zoom in to the video footage up to 16X, to scrutinise far away objects much more closely. It adopts a new
configuration design and is easy to install during project construction. This is a digitally intelligent product that
can provide you with vivid video visuals.
The cameras external ports adopt a buckle design and a waterproof interface incorporated to the pipe thread
allowing for a quick & easy installation process. It supports various languages, a real-time clock function,
automatic protocol recognition, 360° continuous pan, 92°tilt and 180° auto flip (with blind spot monitor).
Through detailed design towards the camera’s aesthetics it also allows it to be incorporated into many modern
settings. At the same the shape and materials provides it with the robustness to survive a variety of weather
conditions. Internal technology allows for the PTZ rotation speed to be automatically adjusted according to lens
zoom speed. It supports various languages, real-time clock function, blind spot recognition and protocol auto
recognition. It also gives you a full 360° continuously pan, 92°tilt and 180° auto flip.
1.2 Features
This PTZ PTZ camera has the following features:
1.2.1 On-Screen Menu
There are multiple language options for the menu system to be displayed in preferred language.
It is easy for you to view dome information and to configure the dome camera parameters.
1.2.2 On-screen Tips
Here you can view:
Preset name and system version (software and hardware)
Dome system temperature (this is optional, you can disable this function)
Dome address (optional, you can disable this function)
1.2.3 Support multiple protocols
Supports universally used protocols such as PELCO-P, PELCO-D and PELCO-S. You can use various devices
(such as the matrix, control keyboard or DVR) and protocols to operate PTZ camera.
1.2.4 Proportional Pan and Tilt
This function keeps the image from moving too fast when there is a large amount of zoom.
The PTZ camera continually decreases or increases pan and tilt speeds in proportion to depth of zoom.
When zooms speed increases, the camera moving speed becomes slow. When zooms speed decreases,
the camera moving speed becomes fast.
1.2.5 Preset Setup and Call
Preset function is to save the address information (such as PTZ pan/tilt, focus and etc) to the memory so that
you can quickly adjust the dome and PTZ to the correct position. The camera supports a maximum of 255
presets in PELCO-D and PELCO-P protocols.
1.2.6 Auto Scan
Camera scans back and forth regularly along the horizontal field. Here you need to set left and right limit and
scan speed. You can set 5 scanning paths.
1.2.7 Auto Touring
Add addresses into a routine in a desired order and then set time and stop duration for each address. The dome
will begin an auto touring between these addresses. Each touring path can contain max 32 presets.
1.2.8 Auto Pattern
Memorises dome operations such as pan, tilt, and zoom to repeat. You can call it to repeat the previous
operation.
1.2.9 Privacy Masking
Privacy masking is a user-defined, four-sided area that cannot be viewed by you. The masking area will move
with pan and tilt functions and automatically adjust in size as the lens zooms.
1.2.10 IR Night Vision
Whilst set to night vision status, it can use the IR light to spot objects within the monitoring view. You can also
monitor the various environments in low illumination situations.
1.2.11 Action on Alarm
This camera supports three alarm activation operations. There are also 7 alarm inputs (NO/NC). Alarms can be
individually programmed to initiate an associated preset, scanning, or tour when triggered. Dome will return to a
previously programmed state after alarm acknowledgement or to its previous position before alarm.
1.2.12 Auto Flip
As long as you continue to hold the keyboard joystick in the down position, the dome rotates 180 degrees and
repositions itself for uninterrupted viewing of any subjects that passes directly beneath the dome.
1.2.13 Self-diagnosis
There is a self-diagnosis procedure when camera boots up.
Tilt and vertical engine check
Camera diagnostics
Displays dome information and diagnosis information such as address, protocol, baud rate.
1.2.14 Day/Night Mode (B/W & Color Mode)
System supports auto/manual switching in low illumination conditions. You can specify the switch time.
In the auto mode and photosensitive resistance modes, the camera can automatically switch the CCD
level according to the light change. When in manual mode, you can use the menu or the buttons to
display in color, black and white, and also the schedule switch. All the modes will have automatic
activation operation on the IR lighting, except when set to camera auto mode.
This function works with the IR night vision function.
1.2.15 Auto Focus
Auto focus allows the lens to remain in focus during zoom-in, zoom-out and motion functions to constantly
provide a vivid image to monitor. You can use the FAR or NEAR buttons to adjust focus manually.
1.2.16 Backlight Compensation
Balance the brightest and darkest sections of a scene to produce a more vivid picture.
1.2.17 Pan Tilt and Zoom
Supports zoom in and zoom out during tilt and pan movement. In this period, focus and iris are both in auto
mode to give you the best angle to monitor.
1.2.18 3D Intelligent Location
When operating the DVR, just click part of the current scene and it will be displayed within the central window. It
will then automatically zoom in to the clicked location. All of these allow you to trace precisely.
1.2.19 Idle Status
When there is no available order, you can use menu to set dome idle status after specified duration. The idle
status includes turn to specified preset or go to scan, tour or pattern function.
1.2.20 Image Stabilizer/Flip
You can enable image stabiliser function and flip within the menu. The flip function allows you to view continuous
video.
2 IR PTZ camera Installation
2.1 Installation Preparation

2.2 IR PTZ camera and network IR PTZ camera installation
2.2.1 PTZ camera bracket installation
The PTZ camera has several different types of installation brackets. You can refer to the following contents for
detailed information. This section will show you how to install the IR PTZ camera into the wall mount bracket.
2.2.2 Pipe thread bracket installation
Please connect the quick installation port to the wall mount bracket (Pipe thread connection) and then use the
M4 stainless steel bolt to fix securely. Then you can connect the integrated cable to the composite cable of the
flanges. Please connect the corresponding power, video output, RS 485 control, network and alarm input &
output cables respectively (Please connect as your actual requirements). Finally, you can connect the flange to
the quick installation port. See Figure 2-1.
Please note the analog PTZ camera does not have the network cable connection. You can connect the RS485,
video output cable if necessary.
