1.0 Care of the Device
•Avoidexposingunittoextremetemperaturesorsevereshock.
•Avoidcontactwithanycorrosivematerialssuchasperfume,alcoholorcleaning
agents.
•Donotsubjecttheunittoexcessiveforce,shock,dust,temperatureorhumidity.
Any of these conditions may shorten the life of the unit.
•Donottamperwithanyoftheinternalcomponentsofthisunit.Thiswillrender
the warranty invalid and may cause damage.
2.0 Setup Procedure
1.Toturnontheunit,removetheplasticstripfoundonthebackoftheunitfromthe
batterycompartment.
2.Theunitwilldisplaythecurrentindoortemperature,indoorrelativehumidity,
weather forecast icon and the time.
NOTE: The photo frame will not turn on at this time.
3.0 Indoor Temperature and Relative Humidity
Topreventimpropertemperatureandhumiditymeasurements,donotplacetheunitin
directsunlight,orinanareawithdraftscausedbyheaters
or air conditioners.

4.0 Date and Time Setup
1. Press and hold the
Date/Timebuttonuntil“12Hr”beginstoash.
2. Press the
Set/Daybuttontotogglebetween12Hrand24Hr.
3. Press the
Date/Timebuttontoconrm.
4.Nextthesecondswillbegintoash.Pressthe
Set/Daybuttontoresettheseconds
to zero. Press the
Date/Timebuttontoconrm.
5.Thehourdigitswillbegintoash.Followsteps2-3tosetthehourdigits,minute
digits,year,monthanddate.
NOTE: Press the
Set/Daybuttontodisplaythesecondsordayoftheweek.
5.0 Setting the Alarm Time
1. Press the
Alarmbuttontodisplaythealarm
time.
2. Press and hold the
Alarmbuttonuntilthe
hourdigitsbegintoash.
3. Press the
Set/Daybuttontotoggletothe
correct hour.
4. Press the
Alarm buttontoconrm.
5.Theminutedigitswillstarttoash.Press
the
Set/Daybuttontotoggletothecorrectminutes.
6. Press the
Set/Daybuttontoconrm.
7.Oncethealarmtimehasbeenset,analarmicon willbedisplayedabovethe
seconds.
8.Toturnothealarm,pressthe
Set/Daybuttoninalarmmode,thealarmiconshould
nolongerbedisplayedabovetheseconds.Toturnonthealarmpressthe
Set/
Daybuttonagain.
9.Whenthealarmsounds,pressthe
Date/Timebuttontostoptheaudiblealarm,or
press the
SNZbuttonandthealarmwillsoundagainafter8minutes.Ifnobuttonis
pressedthealarmwillsoundfor30secondsandthenturno.

Press the
°C/°FbuttontotogglebetweenCelsiusandFahrenheit.
7.0 Indoor Temperature / Relative Humidity Trend Arrows
The trend arrows indicate the trend of the temperature and relative humidity.
Up arrow – Indicates the temperature or humidity is increasing
Steady arrow – Indicates the temperature or humidity is steady
Down arrow – Indicates the temperature or humidity is decreasing

Theweatherforcasticonisbasedonthehumidityreading.
9.0 Changing the Battery
NOTE:theSR44batteryisonlynecessaryfortheweatherandclockfunctions.
1.Usingaatobject,suchasascrewdriverorcoin,removethebatterycompartment
onthebackoftheunitbypushingoutwardsonthecover.
2.ReplacethebatterywithanewSR44,withthe+sidefacingup.
3.Replacethebatterycover.
10.0 Connecting the Photo Frame to PC
SupportSystem:Windows2000,XP,Vista
NOTE: When using the Digital Photo Frame for the rst time, it is recommended to
chargetheunitfor6-8hoursbeforerstuse.Tochargetheunit,plugtheUSBcable
to your computer and then to the Digital Photo Frame. Once fully charged the Digital
PhotoFrame will stayonfor approximately8hours before thebatteryneeds to be
recharged again.
1.OncetheUSBisconnectedtothePCandtotheunit,pressthe
MENUbuttononce.
A menu will appear on the screen of the photo frame.
2.“USBConnect”willbehighlighted,pressthe
MENUbuttontoconrm.
3. Press
MENUbuttontoselect“YES”.Thescreenwillthenshow“USBConnect”.
4. The DPFMate Software window should automatically open on the PC.
NOTE:Ifthe software doesnotopenautomatically,go into “MyComputer”andthe
softwarewillbeinthe“DeviceswithRemovableStorage”section.Doubleclickonthe
software to open it.
NOTE:TheunitmustalwaysbepluggedintothePCviatheUSBcabletobeableto
open the software.

10.1 Transfer Photos Using Software (JPEG and BMP Photos Supported)
Ontheleft-hand-sideofthesoftwarescreen,“ComputerBrowser”,selectthefolder
where you store your photos.
Onceopen,clickonthephotoyouwanttotransfer.Apreviewwillappearunderneath
the“ComputerBrowser”inthe“PhotoPreview”.
10.2 Editing Photos
UsingthesoftwareyoucanedityourphotosbeforedownloadingthemtotheDigital
Photo Frame.
Enlarge the photo size
Reduce the photo size
Clear/Rect.:showsthecroparea.InClearmode,youcanmovethe
cropboxaroundintheimagetocapturethepartyouwant.InRect.
mode,thephotowillbescaledtotthescreenoftheDigitalPhoto
Frame.
Rotate the photo counterclockwise
Rotate the photo clockwise
Addthephototothealbum
NOTE:Oncethephotoshavebeenaddedtothe“PhotoAlbum”onthesoftwarethey
will save automatically.

10.3 Downloading Photos to Digital Photo Frame
Once all the photos have been added to the “Photo Album”, click on
Download to
transfer the photos to the Digital Photo Frame.
NOTE: Avoid unplugging the USB cable from the PC or unit while downloading the
photos.IftheUSBcableisunpluggeditmaycausetheunittomalfunction.
ThesoftwarecannowbeclosedbyclickingonExit,andtheUSBcablecanbeunplugged
from the PC and the unit. The Digital Photo Frame will start to display the photos on
the screen.
10.4DeletingPhotosfromthePhotoAlbum
TodeleteaphotofromthePhotoAlbumselectthephotoandclickon
Delete.
TodeleteafewphotosfromthePhotoAlbum,pressandholdtheCtrlbuttononyour
keyboardandselectthephotosyouwanttodelete.Clickon
Delete once done.
TodeleteallphotosfromthePhotoAlbum,clickon
All and then click on Delete.
NOTE: It is important to click on
Downloadonceanyphotoshavebeendeletedoradded
to synchronize the software with the unit.
10.5 Language Selection on Software
WhenthesoftwareisopenonthePC,rightclickthemouseandselectthelanguagein
the drop down menu.
10.6 Saving Photos as BMP Files
IfyourphotosareinJPEGformatandyouwouldliketosavethemasBMPles,select
thephotointhe“PhotoAlbum”andclickon
Save or Save All if you would like to save
allthephotosinthe“PhotoAlbum.”

1. Press the
MENUbuttonontheunit.
2. Press the buttontoselect“SlideShow”.Pressthe
MENUbuttontoconrm.
3.Toturntheslideshowo,select“No”byusingthe or buttons.Pressthe

MENUbuttontoconrm.
3.To delete onephoto,select “Delete One”by using the or buttons.Pressthe
MENUbuttontoconrm.Select“Yes”andpresstheMENUbuttontoconrm.
NOTE:Beforedeletingtheonephoto,makesurethephotothatyouwanttodeleteis
displayedonthephotoscreen,thenpresstheMENUbuttonandcontinuewithsteps
2-3above.
4.Todeleteallphotos,select“DeleteAll”andconrm.
5.Select“Cancel”todiscontinuetheoperation.
NOTE:OnceaphotoisdeletedontheDigitalPhotoFrameitwillalsobedeletedinthe
PhotoAlbumonthesoftware
