AQUA 3 NANO MODEL SELECTOR
To help your customer choose the best lter option, rst determine which
model, CTU, or UCU they want and then, conrm if the option selected will
be the best for their home.
SELECT THE MODEL
Model CTU-200 CAL | Counter-Top Unit
• Sits on countertop next to sink
• Comes with diverter valve to attach directly to existing faucet – adaptors included
• Diverter valve switches from tap to ltered water
• Indicator LED lights are on the base of unit
NOTE: Always check to make sure the diverter valve will t the faucet. The diverter
valve and adaptor will t most standard products. They will not t pull-out faucets
or some custom design faucets.
Model UCU-200 CAL | Under-the-Counter Unit
• Filter unit sits under the sink—tubing connects the lter unit to existing
plumbing and the custom Aqua 3 Nano faucet replaces existing faucet—
no need to drill extra holes in countertop
NOTE: Make sure there is enough space under the counter to set the
Aqua 3 Nano base and cartridges
• Indicator LED lights are easily visible on faucet
• The integrated faucet is always ltering – no diverter valve
• Stainless steel deck plate included for 3-hole sinks

1. Raw Water Bypass Kit
To maximize the life of the UCU-200 CAL lter cartridges, unltered water
may be used for tasks such as dishwashing, household cleaning, or watering
plants. The Bypass Kit side faucet bypasses the lter and provides a source
of unltered water at the kitchen sink.
2. Bracket
The entire under-the-counter UCU-200 CAL assembled lter can be placed
on a bracket mounted to the wall to raise it o the oor of the sink cabinet

CONFIRM SELECTION
HOW TO SELECT THE RIGHT OPTION BASED ON WATER FLOW
To measure the water ow, place a container of known volume under the customer’s existing faucet, turn the water
on all the way and count the number of seconds needed to draw one liter (¼ gal. approx.) of water, nd the number
of seconds in the graph below. If the result shows reduced or insucient ow, you may need to change the selected
model to one that shows “OK”.
CUSTOMER ADVICE FOR INSTALLATION:
Model UCU
• Always install with two people
• Lift out old faucet and measure faucet hole BEFORE disconnecting
• Ensure faucet body is front-aligned and that the light collar and faucet are held stationary while tightening
from below. The parts should not move independently to avoid cutting the data cable and disabling the
indicator lights
• Bracket may be ordered for mounting on a wall or under sink (sold separately)
Both models
• Have 2 fresh high quality AA batteries available for initial installation (batteries not included)
• Always “charge” the cartridges with water during installation to avoid “run-on”

CARTRIDGES
The EM Pre-Filter and the NanoCeram® are not necessarily replaced at the same time and the LED
indicator lights refer only to the NanoCeram® cartridge.
Pre-lter
• The EM Pre-lter cartridge has 2 parts, the reusable housing and the disposable media insert.
The life of the media insert will range from a couple of months to a year and it depends
entirely on the quality of the water, the reusable housing should last for several years.
• Install a new media insert when washing and back-ushing fails to restore acceptable
ow. Heavy amounts of particles will require more frequent washing, back-ushing and
replacement.
NanoCeram® Cartridge
• The NanoCeram® has a maximum capacity of 1 year or 11,355 L (3,000 gallons), whichever
occurs rst. Replacement cartridges should be ordered when the ow meter’s yellow light
ashes and it must be replaced when the red warning light ashes.
For both cartridges - To improve the water ow and to avoid “run-on”, always “charge” the
cartridges with water after having been removed from the system.
BATTERIES
LED indicator lights run on 2 AA batteries (not included) located in base compartment and they
must be replaced with fresh high quality batteries when installing a new NanoCeram® Cartridge.
