Discontinuance

Effective January 3, 2005, 3M will discontinue the Flush Cam Handle Option for the 3M Textool PGA

Burn-In Sockets. On this date, all affected stock numbers will be removed from current versions of

distributor price pages, disty.com and the 3M Interconnect website.

This discontinuance is part of an effort to focus the 3M product line on customer needs.

Last time buys will be accepted prior to close of business on January 3, 2005. The following is a list of the

discontinued items:

Updated tech sheet drawings, TS0358, are included with this release and are posted on the website.

Actions Required

• Notify existing customers of the discontinuance and qualify an alternative solution (where

applicable). 3M recommends using the standard handle options (-XUA and –XUN Series).

• Final purchase orders must be received no later than close of business December 31, 2004.

• Distribution may return discontinued products in original standard packaging at current distributor

pricing. Return requests must be submitted in writing to the distributor’s customer service

representative by January 30, 2005.

• Return requests will be reviewed and the distributor notified of the RMA number and 3M return

location. Product must be received at the designated return location no later than February 28, 2005,

to be honored for credit.
