Your Router
Your Router lets multiple users connect to the internet without the need for wires (or four using Ethernet cables). Simply
plug it in anywhere in the oce, insert the SIM card and you’re ready to surf.
With your new Mobile Broadband Wi-Fi Router, you can:
• Enjoy internet access with speeds of up to 21 Mbps
• Prevent unauthorised use of your wireless network with an eective rewall
• Make and receive calls over your Real Mobile Broadband Wi-Fi Router
• Send and receive SMS (es) using your web management dashboard

Making sense of your Router

Quick setup
Step 1: Find a central location in your home/oce to install the device
Step 3: Inserting the SIM card
To start, you’ll need to insert the SIM card in to your
Router.
Step 2: Installing the support stand on the base
Align the Router with the locking catches on the base and
push downward to lock it into place, as shown below.
Note: To avoid damaging the Router or SIM card, make sure you power o the Router and remove the external power adapter before removing or inserting
the SIM card.

Step 4: Connecting to a power source
Simply connect the external power adaptor to a standard power outlet. Insert the plug into the socket at the rear of the
Router.
Step 5: Switching on your device
1. To get started, turn the power switch on.
2. After approximately several minutes, the Power light symbol will light up.
Step 6: Getting connected
Once your Router is switched on, you can either connect using an Ethernet cable directly to your computer’s network
port, or using your computer's Wireless Network Connection. The default SSID (or network name) is [Business Mobile
Broadband Wi-Fi Router ].
Step 7: Securing your Wi-Fi network
Once your computer is connected to the Router, enter the Router’s IP address in to a web browser. This will normally be
http://192.168.0.1. Your Wi-Fi management page has a username and password to make sure that no one else can change
your settings. The default password is ‘admin’.

Once logged in, your Router management dashboard is a useful tool that allows you to manage your settings. You can:
• Change your Wi-Fi Key/ password and Mobile Wi-Fi (SSID) name to something more memorable
• Secure your Wi-Fi settings
• View network signal strength
• View important messages from du relating to your mobile broadband service
• Send and receive text messages
Now, make sure:
• The SIM card is inserted
• The Ethernet cable is connected properly
• The Power light is on
• The RSSI light is on
• The Network light is on
Then, you’re all set.
Note: We recommend you change the password the rst time you log in.
Resetting your Router
If you’re experiencing problems with your mobile broadband Wi-Fi connection, simply press the reset button, or swtich
your Router o and on to reboot.
On (Green): Registered to 3G network
On (Red): Registered to 2G network
On (Pink): Unread SMS
O: Not Registered
On: Connection established
O: Connection not established
Blinking: Establishing connection
On: Signal strength is very good or good
O: No signal
Blinking: Signal strength is weak

Glossary
WPS: Stands for Wi-Fi Protected Setup. This is a computing standard that allows simple setup of a secure wireless
network, making it easy to add new devices to your network without entering long passwords.
RSSI: Stands for Recieved Signal Strength Indicator.

Troubleshooting
If you’re having trouble connecting:
• Make sure that the Router is turned on and all the cables are in the right place.
• Check the LED’s are lit and not in a blinking state or o.
• The speed is dependent on signal strength - try moving the Router closer to a window.

Safety notes
General
Please read this user guide carefully before using the Router. The Router’s purpose is to provide improved mobile Wi-Fi
connectivity coverage inside your oce. Do not use this device for any other purpose, as doing so may be dangerous.
Placement
The Router and all its components (including cables and power adaptor) should be placed in a dry, indoor area, at
elevated heights such as on top of shelves, cabinets, etc. It should be kept away from any wet or damp environments
such as kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms or any other areas with exposure to moisture, sprays, drips, or running
water. To prevent interference, place the Router away from TV sets, radio and other electronic equipment. While in
service, people should stand back at least 20 cm from the device’s antenna and the antenna should not be placed
alongside any other antenna or transmitting device.
Emergency
Do not rely on the Router to provide emergency calls in all situations. It will only support emergency dialing when there
is power and connection to the mobile network. If the power fails, the Router cannot work. If you have no network
coverage you will not be able to make emergency calls. The Router does not include xed line wired access to the PSTN.
For More Time:
If your connection is unused for 12 months, you can recharge using the More Time recharge
option. The balance of AED 55 will be used to renew your connection.
Monthly plan customers can refer to their monthly bill, SMS the keyword ‘Rewards’ to
1233 or visit selfcare.du.ae for a complete list of charges.
To check and recharge your balance at any time, simply click on the ‘Balance & recharge’
menu through your internet key management page.

Medical devices
Some electronic devices may be susceptible to electromagnetic interference. Medical devices such as pacemakers and
hearing aids may be aected when using this device. Please contact your General Practitioner for additional safety
guidelines.
Power supply
Only use the power adaptor provided with your device; do not attempt to use another power adaptor. Ensure that the
power adaptor is always easily accessible and that the voltage specied corresponds to the power socket to which you
connect it. If you have no mobile network coverage and need to make an emergency call, please use a land line. In case of
a natural disaster, please disconnect the device to avoid damaging it.
CE marking
The CE marking of the Router certies that this product meets the basic requirements of the European Parliament
and Council directive 1999/5/ CE on telecommunications terminal equipment regarding safety and health of users and
electromagnetic interference.
