Safety Instructions
Caution
Before you start the installation, read these safety instructions carefully!
Follow the instructions in this guide in the exact order in which they are presented, in order
to ensure your own safety as well as the safety of others.
Installation video: A step by step video can be found here: https://youtu.be/fA9Y4CcYFeA
The ParaZero SafeAir M200 is a safety system designed to deploy almost instantaneously, by
using a special pyrotechnic mechanism, which must be handled with caution.
Figure 1 – SafeAir M200 System
The system incorporates two safety elements –
A Safety Pin (see Figure 2)
The safety pin electrically prevents the activation of the system. The system is packed
with the safety pin connected to the system. Do not remove the safety pin until
specifically instructed to do so in this guide.
The safety pin is removed just before flight, as described in Chapter 4, Operating
Guidelines on page 14.

A Safety Cover (see Figure 2)
The safety cover physically prevents the deployment of the parachute, in case of an
unintended deployment. It is designed for safety during transportation, storage and for
applying at the end of each flight day. It is also highly recommended to put the cover
back on after each flight for added safety. The cover is also designed for protection
against external damage. The system is provided with the cover stretched over the
parachute canister.
Do not remove the safety cover until you complete the installation, and you are ready to
fly.

Installation
3.1 Connecting the Mounting Legs to the Drone
1
Disconnect the drone’s landing gear joints from the airframe by releasing the three
connection screws.
2
Replace the three original M200 screws with the ParaZero longer screws (six total). On the
screws, make sure to place the washer first and then the spring washer above it before
inserting the screws into the landing gear joints.
3
Pass the screws through the holes in the M200 legs, and connect them to the drone. Each
M200 leg has an R/L indication on the inner side. Be sure not to swap between them.

3.2 Connecting the TerminateAir to the Drone
1
Disconnect the two long screws that connect the two rear motor arms of the drone, using
the supplied toolset.
2
Place the TerminateAir system into its position.
The ParaZero icon should be facing you,
with the word ParaZero at the front. The location of this component is above the battery
compartment.
3
Insert the two long screws in order to connect the TerminateAir to both arms, and close
them firmly at the bottom using the provided toolset.
4
Be sure that the lever that is on the lower part of the TermianteAir is in its down position, to
prevent the battery from falling during an emergency activation of the system. If it is not,
push the small knob towards the right and then push the lever downwards until it is
locked.

5 Pass the power cable through the legs. Then, place the two mounting cable straps to
secure the electrical wires in place. To do so, place one strap on the base of the arm and
wrap the second strap around the mounting leg on the side of the cable.
3.3 Connecting the Electrical Wires
Caution
During all installation stages, be sure –
Not to connect the batteries to the system.
That the safety pin remains in its proper place.
That the safety cover remains in its place, covering the system.
Be sure that the SafeAir M200 battery is not connected. If it is, disconnect the battery.
1 Take the main parachute system (see #1 in Table 1) and turn it over until its bottom side is
facing you.
2 Connect the pyrotechnic device connector to the two-pin connector, located on the
bottom of the parachute system.
3 Connect the TerminateAir cable to the three-pin connector located on the bottom of
the parachute system.

3.4 Connecting the Parachute System to the Legs
There are two options for connecting the parachute system to the legs – using the parachute
system’s forward or rear position.
After connecting the electrical connectors, position the parachute system on the legs, the
marked holes of the parachute system bracket should be located right above the legs’ holes.
The orientation of the parachute system should be as in the picture below i.e., the safety pin is
located in the forward part of the drone.
Attach the four thumb screws, four spring washers and four washers in this order. Tightly
secure the screws.
Notice
For Matrice 210 and 210 RTK models - It is recommended to install the extended GPS
module provided.
The SafeAir M200 system is now installed, and you are ready for operation!
3.5 Activating the System
1 Charge the M200 battery for two hours using the supplied charger, as shown below.
Connect to one of the four connectors (two on each side). The middle connector is for
charging level verification only, and will not charge the battery.
SafeAir™ M200 Installation Guide
11
www.parazero.com
2 Check the charge level of the battery by connecting it to the middle connector, as
shown below. Verify that a green light appears.
3 Verify that the safety pin is inserted all the way into position.
4 Release and pull up the safety cover, in order to access the battery bay.
5 Open the side door by rotating the handle counter-clockwise, and pushing it out. Pull the
battery cable out and connect the battery to the plug. Ensure that the connection is
secure.
6 Place the battery back inside and close the door. For IP43 water protection, verify that
the door is sealed. Then, rotate the handle in a clockwise direction.
7 Pull the safety cover back down and close it.
8 Verify that the lever of the TerminateAir is in its down position.

14
Pull the safety pin out all the way. The system powers up. During power-up, the SafeAir
M200 LED displays solid
YELLOW
.
15
After a few seconds, a single short beep is heard and that the SafeAir M200 LED on the
parachute system changes to
BLUE
.
You are now cleared for take-off!
3.6 Takeoff and Landing
1
When climbing, you must climb to approximately eight meters before the system is
armed. Climb until you hear a single long beep and the LED is
GREEN
.
2
The system is now armed and ready for activation in case of an emergency.
3
When approaching landing, at approximately three to five meters from the takeoff
altitude, the parachute system automatically disarms. At that point, a long double-beep
is heard and the LED is
PURPLE
.
If the landing point is at a different altitude than the takeoff altitude, or the system did not
discharge for some reason in the air, which may occur when there is a sudden change in
atmospheric pressure, land the drone slowly while keeping it level. After three seconds,
the system on the ground disarms itself.
4
After the disarm indication appears, insert the safety pin all the way in before touching
the drone.
Caution
When approaching the system, always keep your head down.
5
Place the safety cover back on the system.
The system is now safe and secured.

4.6 Troubleshooting
LED Shows an Alternating Red-Yellow Sequence
This is normal system behavior indicating that the sensors did not complete their initialization
process. This indication may appear for several seconds at the end of the system initialization
process.
LED Shows a Single Flashing-Yellow Sequence
This indicates a problem with the RC channels. This indication is only relevant for customers
using an RC for system operations. Check that both RC channels are connected and in an
inactive state.
LED Shows Two Flashing-Yellow Sequences
The system is not level. Try to move it slightly until this indication is resolved.
LED Shows Three Flashing-Yellow Sequences
This indicates a problem with the SD card. Use the desktop application to resolve this issue.
LED Flashes Teal
This indicates that the system’s GPS has no converge. This does not affect operational
performance.
LED Flashes Orange
This indicates that the system’s cellular connectivity is inactive. This does not affect
operational performance.
