1. Introduction
 -ezRack® SolarTerrace I-D     
designs to mount. This guide will focus on the SolarTerrace I-D 
large residential and commercial systems.
The combination of high quality stainless steel and galvanised steel components
make this a robust, reliable system with excellent corrosion resistance.
Please review this manual thoroughly prior to installing PV-ezRack SolarTerrace I-D.
This manual provides supporting documentation for building permit applications
relating to PV-ezRack SolarTerrace I-D mounting system.
The PV-ezRack SolarTerrace I-D parts, when installed in accordance with this guide,
will be structurally adequate and will meet the GB50009-2012、ASCE7-10 and ISO
14713 standard. During installation and especially when working on the ground
please comply with the appropriate occupational health and safety regulations.
Please also pay attention to other relevant regulations of your local region. Please
check that you are using the latest version of the installation manual, which you can

3.1 Detailed installation planning shall be as shown in above figure.
1） Installation mode of solar panel: vertical installation.
2）             
number of solar panel + 200mm.
3） Distance between two adjacent supports: L2 shall be determined
according to specific engineering requirement.
4） Distance between front and back supports: L3 shall be determined
according to specific engineering requirement.
5） Distance between two rows of solar panel: L4 shall be determined
according to specific engineering requirement.

3.2 Precautions during Stainless Steel Fastener Installation：
Improper operation may lead to deadlock of Bolts and Nuts. Follow the steps below to
reduce this risk
1．Reduce the friction coefficient:
（1）Ensure that the thread surface is clean (no dirt or contaminant)
（2）Apply lubricant (grease or 40# engine oil) to fasteners prior tightening to avoid
galling or seizing in the threads;
2．General installation instructions:
（1）Apply force to fasteners in the direction of thread;
（2）Apply force uniformly, to maintain required torque;
（3）Professional tools and tool belts are recommended;
（4）Avoid using electric tools for final tightening;
（5）Avoid working at high temperatures,
3．Safe Torques
Please refer to safe torques defined in this guide. In case power tools are required,
Clenergy recommends the use of low speed only. High speed and impact drivers
increase the risk of bolt galling (deadlock) If deadlock occurs and you need to cut
fasteners please make sure that there is no load on the fastener before you cut it. Avoid
damaging the anodized or galvanized surfaces.
4. These steps should be applied for every stainless steel nut and bolt assembly.

NOTES: Tighten the bolts after all the components in place, Repeat the lock and loosen, it will make
bolt stuck.
3.3 Installation Dimensions
All drawings and dimensions in this installation guide are for a generic reference. The
Clenergy SolarTerrace I-D is to be optimized to suit specific conditions for each project
and documented in a construction drawing. As a result, major components of the
Clenergy SolarTerrace I-D may be provided in section sizes and lengths that vary from
those shown in this guide. The installation process detailed in this instruction guide
remains the same regardless of the component size. In case you need to do any on-site
modifications or alteration of the system in a way that would be different from the
construction drawing please provide marked up drawin
prior modification for comment and approval.

4. Installation Instructions
4.1 Grounding screw Installation
4.1.1 Before the installation,
please prepare necessary
installation tools & products,
and ensure that hydraulic pile
driver can work normally in
installation site.
Measure the elevation,
horizontal and vertical axis.
4.1.2 According to the
installation planning, use total
station (or any instrument of
similar functions) to carry out
positioning mark and mark out
the piling position of each
grounding screw.
4.1.3 Make necessary
adjustment should discrepancy
are found to make sure that all
ground screw are on the same
level and are all aligned.
Piling depth, horizontal and vertical position of the
column is determined by the engineering drawings of
specific programs

4.2 Installing front pole and back pole
4.2.1 Installation pole should
be preceded by grounding
screw of elevation, lateral and
longitudinal axis of the retest. If
there is an error, should be
promptly corrected or adjusted.
4.2.2 Insert the pole into the
ground screw and place the
rubber ring. Then used the 3-
M16*40 Hexagon Bolt kit to
pre-tighten.
Note: to ensure that the top
end face of the pole of the
same row on the same plane,
the mounting hole parallel to
the axis of the east-west
direction.
4.2.3 After all poles are
installed, check and make sure
that the poles are on the same
level and are aligned on x, y
direction. If there is
discrepancy, loosen the
M16*40 bolt and adjust.
M16 bolt recommended torque
value: 135~150 N.m (this is
only recommended value, and
subject to changes based on
actual condition).
Note: This torque chosen
according to the actual
situation, no significant
deformation structure is
appropriate, the same below.

4.3 Installing C-steel girder
4.3.1 Use M10*25 bolt set
which include flat washers,
spring washers and nut. To
install Delta Joint and Brace
connector on C-steel girder.
(bolt head up)
4.3.2 Mount the C-steel girder
assembly to the pole using
M10*90 make sure that the
required tilt as shown in the
drawing is followed before
tightening the bolt. (Keep all
M10 * 90 bolt head toward
unity.)
4.3.3 Mounting angle
measurements confirm girder
consistent with the design
requirements,
If error, timely adjustment of
the height front and back pole
to assurance angle.
4.3.4 Install the rest of the
girder and check if girders are
in the same plane, adjust if
required. Then move to next
step.
Recommended torque value:
35~40 N.m

4.4 Installing Rectangular Tube
4.4.1 Connect the Rectangular
Tube with M10*70 bolt on the
girder and then use M10*35
bolt to install on the front and
back pole support. Bolts
toward unity.
Recommended torque value:
35~40 N-M.
4.4.2 According to the above
method to all installed.
4.5 Installing C-steel Rail
4.5.1 According to assembly
drawings,
install Angle bracket for
C-Steel girder firstly with
M10*25 bolts. and then attach
C-steel rail on Angle bracket
and C-Steel girder, use
M10X25 bolt to fix. As right
figure show.
Note: The C-steel rail
specifications to meet the
requirements of the drawings,
to avoid wrong.
Recommended torque value:
35~40 N-M.

4.5.2 For C-steel Rail
connection, use the splice
provided as shown and secure
the two C-steel Rail with
M8*25 bolt.
Note: Different specifications
purlin mounting position and
docking to meet requirements
of the drawings.
Recommended torque value：
18~20 N-M。
4.6 Installing grounding screw and pole
4.6.1 After the completion of
the installation of a single
array, retest adjusted angle
and holes on pole to ensure
that the component mounting
holes are aligned,
Angle is consistent with the
design requirements, check to
ensure that all bolts are tight.
Solution 1:
4.6.2 Drill locations along the
reserve on grounding screw to
open Ø18 hole, respectively on
front and back pole.
4.6.3 After completion of
drilling, deburring, cleaning oil
and grease and other
contaminants, then drying.

4.6.4 After drying topcoat,
Complete the mounting
bracket with M16 * 120 bolts,
large flat washers, spring
washers, nuts and screw pile
column lock.
Recommended torque value:
95 ~ 100 N.m
Solution 2:

4.7.1 Installation of solar panel
assembly. 

position, and fix it by Nut End
Clamp and Nut Inter Clamp.
Check vertical and horizontal
alignment then fixed the M8
Hexagon bolt.

4.7.2 Install the rest of the
panel. Observe 20mm E-W
spacing between modules
(longitudinal side of panel) as
shown.
4.8 Back pulling installation
4.8.1 Connect the rod into the
connector with M12 bolt; pull
the rod and achor on the other
end in a diagonal position as
shown.
4.8.2 Assemble and mount the
steel clamp and the pulling rod
connector into the back pillar
with M10*35 Hex bolt
4.8.3 Do the same on the
second tension rod to form a


M12 Recommended torque
value ： 50~55 N.m
4.8.4 Tighten the bolts after all
the components in place,

5. Warranty
10 year limited Product Warranty, 5 year limited Finish Warranty

from visible peeling, or cracking or chalking under normal atmospheric conditions for a period of five
(5) years, from the earlier of 1) the date the installation of the Product is completed, or 2) 30 days
