2 Installation
2.1 Safety notes for installation
Do not install the radiant panel behind curtains, furniture or furnishings; do not install the
appliance at ground level or at an excessive height.
The radiant panel shall in no case be installed: in niches, less than 10 cm from the corners of
the room, under a power outlet or on a shelf.
The heater must only be installed on 230V rated voltage systems.
An omni-polar disconnecting device must be installed upstream of a power line with a contact opening of at
least 3mm.
The power supply circuit of the appliance must be protected with a high-sensitivity differential protection
device.
2.2 Special notes for bathroom installation
The installation must conform to the rules and laws of the country in
which it is installed.
The heater is Class II and complies with electrical protection norm IPX4;
in the bathroom, it can be installed in zones 2 and 3 (see figure) provided
that the control device remains out of reach for people who are using the
shower or bathtub.
In the bathroom, the device may be installed in zone 3 (Fig. 1), defined
according to standard CEI 64-8/7, Art. 701.32, provided the controller
remains out of reach for persons using the shower or bathtub.
2.3 Installation
The thermostat is supplied with appropriate supporting hooks. Wall plugs supplied in the
package are suitable for brick or concrete walls. You can install the radiant panel also on
other wall types by replacing the plugs provided with other deemed most appropriate, and
checking with your installer whether the installation wall can bear the appliance’s weight.
The package provides three identical hooks and two of them are designed for weight bearing; adjustment
screws allow correction by adjusting small differences in the horizontal alignment of the panel. The third
hook, placed at the base, is mandatory and should not be tightened to high torque, as its rotation locks the
panel in a vertical position after installation.
Proceed with the installation of the panel by locating the position of the holes as per drawing, and use the ta-
ble for distances.
Proceed with the installation of the hooks, use a drill adapted to the tile and surface type to
be drilled; for the standard tile supplied, use a 9 mm diameter x 45mm deep tip.
Hook the panel to the upper brackets; rotate 90 ° the lower hook so this attaches to the wall
surface and to prevent the panel from being raised.

unit/programmable thermostat. Isolate any unused black PILOT WIRES according to safety
regulations; never connect the black wire to the ground wire.
A multipolar breaking device must be installed. The separation distance between contacts must be at least 3
mm.
The power supply circuit of the appliance must be protected with a high-sensitivity differential
protection device.
The power cord should be strictly connected to power via a junction box positioned 25 cm above the floor
and avoiding electrical plugs.

Function keys
3.2 Stand-by
In stand-by mode, the heating function is disabled and the display shows only the current
time.
The display flashes if the clock is not set and synchronised; see clock setting.
To switch from stand-by to operating mode, press and hold the stand-by key for two seconds
until the display shows "ON".
3.3 Programmable thermostat mode
The Livingstone radiant panel features a programmable thermostat that can be programmed
24x7 on thermostat mode when the display shows the function (see figure) and the daily
schedule on the side.
To change the programming, refer to chapter “Weekly programming 24x7”.
In this mode, the thermostat follows the daily schedule, alternating comfort and night
setback modes.
The programmable thermostat function is disabled if the clock is not set, for example, after
prolonged blackouts (display will flash); in this case, the heater will remain at comfort
temperature until the clock is set to the current time.
3.4 Pilot wire mode (Fil pilote)
In Pilot wire mode, the thermostat is controlled remotely via a wire protocol, TERMO-DL,
which support 6 commands.
Pilot wire commands:
1) Comfort: Comfort temperature
2) Night setback mode: Comfort temperature -3.5 ° C
3) ECO1: Comfort temperature -1 ° C
4) ECO2: Comfort temperature -2 ° C
5) Anti-freeze: Minimum anti-freeze temperature 7 °C
6) Stop: Heating disabled
3.5 Comfort Mode
In comfort mode, temperature is regulated via the temperature knob.
8
Programmable thermostat user manual
3.6 Night setback mode
In night setback mode, temperature is adjusted according to the temperature knob but
reduced by 3.5 °C. This setback results in significant energy savings while allowing for a
rapid transition from setback to comfort mode, ensuring thus optimal performance.
3.7 Anti-freeze mode
In anti-freeze mode, the thermostat keeps a safety temperature of 7 °C to avoid freezing upon
prolonged absence.
3.8 Weekly programming 24x7 day
To access weekly programming, set the programmable thermostat mode and press and hold
the function button until the display shows "Pro".
The display shows the selection of the daily program; use the function button to select the
one you wish to change (d1 = Monday, d2 = Tuesday, ... d7 = Sunday).
Once the desired program is selected, press the stand-by key to enter the edit menu.
The display shows the day/program and time slot; press the function key to set the time slot
to comfort mode or the stand-by key to set the time slot to night setback mode. As you re-
lease the button, the next time slot is automatically selected.
Once daily programming is complete, press the function key for two seconds to return to the
daily program selection. To finish programming, press and hold the stand-by button until the
display shows "Off".
3.9 Clock and date setting
Clock setting
To access the clock setting function, go to stand-by mode as described above and press the
function button until the display shows "Set".
Use the function keys to change current time. Hold down the button for faster adjustment.
Confirm the change with the stand-by key.
Daily programming
