BATTERY POWER
Your Energy™ 3D HD Media Player has an integrated rechargeable Li-Ion battery. It comes fully charged from factory, but it
is recommended to perform a full recharge before the first use.
Recharge the battery connecting the player to a computer using the included USB 2.0 cable (using any USB type mini-B
with 5 pins will also work).
Optionally, you can recharge the battery with an AC/DC power adaptor with a USB type mini-B with 5 pins cable. (Note: We
recommend that the output of the AC/DC does not exceed 1000mA).
Charging time is between 3 and 5 hours, depending if the player is powered off or working. To keep the battery in good
conditions, we recommend charging it while powered off and not leaving it charging for more than 8 hours.
Your Energy™ 3D HD Media Player uses several methods for battery saving: it will power off the display after a few
seconds of inactivity, and it will power off completely after a few minutes of inactivity. All these systems are configurable
respectively browsing the menus SETTINGS -> Power -> Backlight off and SETTINGS -> Power -> Power off. In order to
maximize the battery’s lifespan, it is recommended to not disable completely these power saving features. You can also
change 2D and 3D mode backlight values browsing the menus SETTINGS -> Power -> Backlight 2D and 3D.
38
SWITCHING ON / OFF
To power on your Energy™ 3D HD Media Player, move the switch to the ON position. If it is already in ON position then press
the HOME button for 3 seconds.
Note: When powering on, the device performs a memory check. The power on time depends on the amount of occupied
memory.
Move the switch to OFF position or press the HOME button for 3 seconds to power off the device. At that moment, the device
will save your settings.
MAIN SCREEN
With the PREVIOUS/NEXT buttons you can browse through the main screen options. With the PLAY button you will enter
into the selected option.
Your Energy™ 3D HD Media Player has implemented the M-EX system which allows you to extend the memory of the device.
If you are using a microSDHC memory card (up to 32GB), and/or an external storage device (with a HOST Mini USB port),
the memory expansion option will be shown on top of each icon. You can browse them with the UP/DOWN buttons and select
with the PLAY button (check the “PC CONNECTION AND EXTERNAL MEMORY USAGE” section).

3D MODE - OVERALL FUNCTIONING AND PRECAUTIONS
Get into the exciting 3D world through your Energy™ 3D HD Media Player, and fully enjoy movies and pictures as you would
have never imagined without the need for special glasses. Take into account the following instructions and advices for a
rewarding and optimum experience.
The device plays videos and pictures in 2D and 3D format. When either the image file format is MPO or the image/picture
file prefix starts with “[3D]”, the player automatically enters in 3D mode. If the image or the video format is Side-by-Side,
40
and the file prefix is not “[3D]”, you can manually select the 3D mode by long pressing the RETURN button while playing the
picture or the video.
The optimum distance view fluctuates between 30 and 50 centimetres. 3D effects without the need for special glasses
depend on the subjective viewing angle. We recommend you to shift slightly your Energy™ 3D HD Media Player in order to
get your best angle view.
The technology used by your Energy™ 3D HD Media Player to generate the 3D effects is based on the ability to interpret
three dimensional images due to the difference in position of the left and right eye, for this reason each individual sees 3D
effect differently (for instance, when there is a significant difference between eyesight). Make sure you use contact lenses
or glasses in case you usually need them.
Please be advised that factors such as media content, ambient light or physical condition may all directly affect how any
individual sees the 3D effect. If you are queasy, tired, or feeling unwell, please refrain from using your Energy™ 3D HD
Media Player. It is possible to experience discomfort and fatigue when watching 3D content for a long period of time, for this
reason we encourage you to take a break every half hour when using the 3D feature of your Energy™ 3D HD Media Player.
The use of the 3D feature by children under the age of 12 years may cause negative impact on the vision. Therefore it is
recommended that parents or legal tutors restrict the display of 3D content if children under the age of 12 years have
access to the Energy™ 3D HD Media Player.
