1 INSTALLATION
To install the telephone, you have to do the following :
Plug one end of the coil cord into the Phonemaster 100 and the other end into the handset.
Plug one end of the telephone cable into the back of the unit “LINE” and the other end into the
telephone line wall socket.
Note : When the phone is in standby mode, nothing is shown on the display.

3 OPERATION TELEPHONE
3.1 Tone/Pulse setting
The Phonemaster 100 has been set to tone dialling mode (DTMF). When you press a numerical but-
ton and you still hear the dialling tone, you have to switch to pulse dialling mode by means of the
Tone/Pulse switch at the back of the unit.
3.2 Setting the ringer volume
The ring volume switch is located at the back of the phone. You can choose between high (HI), low
(LOW) or no ringing signal (OFF).
Put the switch on the desired volume level. If you choose (OFF), the phone will not ring when a call
comes in, but the ‘Call’ indicator (LED) will start to burn.
3.3 Flash (R)
P ress the Flash button (R) to use certain services as ‘Call Waiting’ (if this service is provided by your
telephone company); or to transfer phone calls when you are using a telephone exchange (PA B X ) .
You can set the desired flash time by means of the Flash time switch at the back of the phone. Yo u
can choose between 100 and 300 ms.
Note : In European countries a flash time of 100 ms is normally used.
3.4 Last number redial
If you want to call back the last dialled telephone number, press the Redial button as soon as you
pick up the handset. The telephone number will be dialled automatically.
3.5 Handsfree calling
It is possible to make a handsfree telephone call with the Phonemaster 100 :
Press the Handsfree button. You hear the dial tone.
Enter the desired telephone number
You can now talk without having to pick up the handset.
Press the Handsfree button again to end the communication.
Note : The volume of the speaker can be set by means of the Volume switch at the right side of the unit.
3.6 Memory numbers
You can program 10 indirect memory numbers (0-9) (max. 16 digits) and 5 direct memory numbers
(M1-M5) in the phone’s memory.
3.6.1. Programming an indirect memory number
Pick up the handset and press the Set button.
Enter the telephone number.

Press the Set button.
Press the desired memory location 0..9 (numerical buttons).
Put the handset back on the phone.
3.6.2. Programming a direct memory number
Pick up the handset and press the Set button.
Enter the telephone number.
Press the desired direct memory button M1-M5.
Put the handset back on the phone.
Note : You can add a 3-second pause to the telephone number. Press the Redial button on the desired location in
the memory number. The letter ‘P’ appears on the display. When the number is being dialled, a pause of 3 seconds
will be added.
3.6.3. Calling an indirect memory number
Pick up the handset and press the Memory button.
Press the number of the memory location (0-9).
The programmed number will be dialled automatically.
3.6.4. Calling an direct memory number
Pick up the handset and press the desired direct memory button M1-M5.
The programmed number will be dialled automatically
4 WARRANTY
Warranty : 1 year on defects of the phone.
Attention : Return your phone in the original packaging.
Do not forget to include your purchase invoice.
The warranty is not valid without the purchase invoice.
