Raisethecuttingblades,stopthemachine,andstopthe
enginebeforeleavingtheoperator’spositionforany
reason.
Stoptheequipmentandinspectthecuttingbladesafter
strikinganobjectorifanabnormalvibrationoccurs.
Makenecessaryrepairsbeforeresumingoperation.
Keephandsandfeetawayfromthecuttingbladearea.
Nevercarrypassengers,andkeeppetsandbystanders
away.

containerratherthanfromagasolinedispenser
nozzle.
Ifagasolinedispensernozzlemustbeused,
keepthenozzleincontactwiththerimofthe
fueltankorcontaineropeningatalltimesuntil
fuelingiscomplete.
UsingStabilizer/Conditioner
Useafuelstabilizer/conditionerinthetractionunittokeep
gasolinefreshduringstorageof90daysorless.Forlonger
storagedrainthefueltank.
Important:Donotusefueladditivescontaining
methanolorethanol.
Addthecorrectamountofgasstabilizer/conditionertothe
gas.
Note:Afuelstabilizer/conditionerismosteffectivewhen
mixedwithfreshgasoline.Tominimizevarnishdepositsin
thefuelsystem,usefuelstabilizeratalltimes.
FillingtheFuelTank
1.Disengagethecuttingblades,stoptheengine,waitfor
allmovingpartstostop,andturnofftheengineswitch.
2.Allowtheenginetocool.
3.Cleanaroundthefueltankcapandremoveit(Figure
14).

2.Starttheengine.
3.Pushdownonthehandletoraisethefrontwheelsoff
theground.
4.Pullthecutting-blade-controllevertothehandle,and
slowlylowerthefrontwheelstotheground,allowing
thebladestograduallyworkintothegrassandsoil.
5.Whennished,releasethecutting-blade-controllever,
stoptheengine,andraisethecuttingbladestothe
transportsetting.
OperatingTips
Asseedowvariesgreatlybetweendifferentseedtypes,
llthehopperwithaminimalamountofseed,andrun
atrialportionoftheyardtoensureyouhavethedesired
seedoutput.
Foroptimalcoverage,reducetheseedowto1/2the
desiredamountandseedtheentireyardin1direction,
thencompleteasecondcoverageperpendiculartothe
rst.

Setthecuttingblades3to6mm(1/8to1/4inch)into
theearth(belowthezeroposition).
Mowtheyardshorterthannormalmowinglengthbefore

Tobreaknewgroundortillanexistinglawn,setthecutting
