Make sure the gas ame is
adjusted properly and does not lap

maker as this will waste energy and
cause the handles of the espresso
maker to become hot.
If you are unsure about the
temperature of the handles please
use oven gloves.
When using smaller espresso
makers (below six cups) we advise
the use of a heat diuser or gas
ring reducer when heang the
espresso maker on a gas stove.
They are available at all good
cookware shops.
Remove the espresso maker from
the heat when the top secon is
full of coee.
To avoid spillages, ensure the
surface is stable.
The base will become hot when it
is in use an will remain hot aer
use, place it on a heat resistant
surface both during and aer
use.
Do not leave the espresso maker
on a hot stove without water in
the base secon.

Care and Use Instrucons
Always dry the espresso maker
carefully before storing it away. Do not
leave water in the espresso maker
when it is not in use. Always ensure
that the espresso maker is cool before
dismantling it for cleaning. Check the
seals (gasket) periodically, depending
on the use they may need to be
replaced within a year, a free gasket
replacement is already included with
your espresso maker.
Never use anything other than ground
coee beans in this appliance, as it
will clog the lter plate.
Use coee specically for a Moka
coee maker. Do not use coee that
is too nely ground, or instant coee
granules.
Ensure the valve, lter and washer are
in good condion. You may have to
periodically change the lter and
washer. If they are not clean, it could
prevent the water from being forced
into the top chamber—which could
damage the percolator.
For use in hard water areas, please
use ltered water with this coee
maker.
Do not pack the coee grounds too

How To Descale Your Espresso Maker
 Mix together one part white vinegar
to two parts water—enough to ll
the base.
 Take the pot through a normal cycle,
but leave the ground coee out of
the lter.
 Discard the mixture and let the pot
cool down for 15 minutes.
 Rinse the pot and repeat the method
a second me, but with plain water.
This is to make sure the soluon is
completely gone and there is no
smell of vinegar le.
Please note: It is recommended that
you do this process once every 30
days.
You can also use shop bought descaler
to do this. In order to do this, following
these steps:
1. Pour the descaling soluon into the
base.
2. Take the pot through a normal cycle,
but leave the ground coee out of
the lter.
 Discard the mixture and let the pot
cool down for 15 minutes.
4. Rinse the pot and repeat the method
a second me, but with plain water.
