1 INTRODUCTION
This compact shaped professional digital tester is designed for measurements of:
AC voltage VAC,
DC voltage VDC,
direct current DC,
resistance,
diodes,
continuity.
Measuring voltage
Always make sure that the switch is in the appropriate position.
To avoid electric shock, use this instrument with caution.
Disconnect the circuit before starting the measurement.
Make sure that the AC voltage or DC voltage are not connected while measuring the
resistance (ohms).
Before using the instrument, make sure it is properly closed.
Do not exceed the maximum measurement value.

3 USING THE MULTIMETER
3.1 Preliminary notes
Check that the probes are in good condition. If they are damaged, replace them.
The function selector switch must be positioned on the appropriate scale before use.
Do not perform measurements of voltage or current that exceed the maximum capacity
of the instrument.
Properly insert the battery in its compartment.
Always select a capacity which is greater than the value of current or voltage to be
measured.
Make sure the probes are properly connected to the circuit.
Remove the battery from the instrument when not in use for a long time.
Remember to turn off the instrument after use.
Do not attempt to measure the resistors inserted into live circuits or before discharging
any internal capacity of the circuit.
Select the switch depending on AC or DC.
3.2 Measurement of DC voltage DCV
1. Move the function switch to the "V" position.
2. Point the selector to the desired position If the voltage is not know, point the selector
to the highest range and reduce it to reach the appropriate range.
3. Connect the probes. The polarity of the red probe will be shown at the same time as
the voltage.
3.3 Measuring direct current DCA
1. Move the function switch to the "V" position.
2. Point the selector to the position 200mA.
3. Connect the probes. Read the value on the display.
3.4 Measuring AC voltage ACV
1. Move the function switch to the V position.
2. Point the selector to the position 200V or 500V. The reading of the measurement can
be obtained in other positions, but the decimal point is not in the exact position.
3. Open the circuit to be measured and connect the probes to the two extremes.
4. Read the value obtained on the display together with the correct polarity.

3.5 Measuring resistors
1. Move the function switch to position .
2. Point the selector to the desired position.
3. If the resistance to be measured is connected to a circuit, turn off the power and
deactivate it before applying the probes.
4. Connect the probes to the resistor, read the value on the display.
3.6 Measuring diodes and continuity tests
1. Move the function switch to the position
2. Move the selector to the position with the diode symbol.
3. Connect the red probe to the diode anode and the black probe to the cathode, read the
measurement on the display in mV.
4. Connect the probes to two points of the circuit, a beep indicates if the resistance is
lower than 30 .

4 REPLACING THE BATTERY AND THE FUSE
Opening the instrument
Make sure that the instrument is disconnected and switched off before replacing the batteries.
4.1 Battery replacement
1. When the batteries are almost used, the battery symbol appears on the display
2. Turn off the appliance and disconnect the probes from the circuit before replacing the
battery.
3. Remove the cover on the back of the unit and replace the batteries making sure that
the correct polarity is respected.
4. Caution: Do not use the instrument with the cover open.
