Theexpectedservicelifeofthisproductisfiveyearswhenuseddaily

andinaccordancewiththesafetyinstructions,maintenanceintervals

andcorrectuse,statedinthismanual.Theeffectiveservicelifecan

varyaccordingtofrequencyandintensityofuse.

1.4Warranty

Thewarrantycoversallmaterialandproductiondefectsfortwo

yearsfromthedateofdelivery,provideditcanbedemonstratedthat

suchdefectswerepresentbeforedelivery.Allmanufacturingfaultsor

defectsmustbepromptlyreported.

Invacare®mayrepairthefaultorreplacethecomponent.The

warrantyprovidedbyInvacare®doesnotcoveradditionalcosts

(transport,packaging,labour,sundryexpenses,etc.areforthe

customer’saccount).

Thewarrantydoesnotcover:

•Damagecausedduringtransportthatisnotdirectlyreportedto

theforwarderatthemomentofdelivery.

–Thebedmustnotbeusedbypersonsunder12years

ofage,orbypersonswithabodysizeequivalenttoan

average12yearsoldorsmaller.

–Thebed,incombinationwithsiderailsmustnotbe

usedbypersonshavingaphysicalsizelessthan146

cm,aweightlessthan40kgorabodymassindex

(BMI)lessthan17.

–Duetomattresscompression,anincreasedriskmay

occurovertime.Periodicallymonitorgapsbetween

thebed,mattressand/orsiderail.Replacemattressif

thegapsmayleadtoentrapment.

Thebedfulfilsallrequirementsregardingmaximum

2.Tightenwithtwothumbscrews.

3.Makesurethatthefourmattressretainersarepositioned

pointingupwards.

4.TurnthelockingringsonthebedendtopositionOPEN.

5.Latchthebracketsofthemattresssupporteitherinhighposition

(A)orlowposition(B)tothebedendandpressthemfirmly

intoposition.(It’snormalthatthere’sasmallspacebetween

theupperslotandthebracket)

6.TurnthelockingringsintoPositionLOCK.
