To record from a pre-recorded cassette to a blank cassette, follow the steps below:
1. Slide Function Switch to TAPE position.
2. Place the pre-recorded cassette in the tape compartment of deck A (player deck)
with full spool on left. Push the Pause Button first, then the Play Button. The Power
Lamp will light but the tape will not play because the Pause Button is pressed.
3. Place the blank cassette in the tape compartment of Deck B with full spool on left.
Push the Pause Button first, then the Record and Play Buttons together so
that they both lock down.
4. Release Pause Buttons on both Deck A and Deck B. Both cassettes will
start and the music on the pre-recorded cassette in Deck A will be
recorded directly onto the blank cassette in Deck B.
5. When the recording is completed on one side, if you want to record on the
other side, turn both cassettes over to the other side and repeat above steps.
6. When you have finished recording, the automatic stop feature will automatically
stop and shut off the set. The Power Lamp will also go off, remove both tapes
from the tape compartments.
7. To hear what you recorded, follow TO PLAY A CASSETTE TAPE instructions on
page 12. Remember to rewind the tape to the beginning then press Play.

To make recordings faster, slide the Dubbing Speed Switch to HIGH position before
starting recording. Remember to return the switch to NORMAL position for playback.

This set has the latest Automatic Level Control circuitry, therefore, it is not
necessary to adjust the Volume Control when recording. This circuit automatically
records at the correct level and prevents over loading.
NOTE: While recording you may adjust the Volume Control or Bass Boost Switch
as you desire without affecting the recording operation.

1. Follow the instructions to play the radio.
2. Make sure the Function Switch is in the RADIO position, the Power Lamp will light.
3. Load the blank cassette tape with full spool on left into Deck B (recording deck).
4. Locate the portion of the tape where you desire to start recording by using the
Rewind feature (or Fast Forward) or start at the beginning of the tape.
5. Tune in to the station you want to record, press the Cassette Record Button
and Cassette Play Button simultaneously. Both buttons should remain in their
depressed positions when released. Also, pressing the Cassette Record
Button alone, will also cause the Cassette Play Button to go down. This is
the new one-touch recording feature.
6. You are now recording from the Built-in Radio and the recording process will
automatically stop at the end of the tape and shut itself off.
7. To stop the recording manually, press the Cassette Stop/Eject Button.

NOTE: When you want to play the cassette tape after recording, slide Function
Switch to TAPE position, press Cassette Rewind Button, and then press
Cassette Play Button. Adjust the Volume Control and Bass Boost Switch
to your taste.
