1.1 General safety
Safety warnings
The installation of the device must comply with the guidelines in the C lickShare Installation Guide (R 5900014).

1. Safety
Only use the DC power adapter supplied with the ClickShare device.
To pr event injuries and physical damage, always read this manual and all labels on the system before connecting to the wall
outlet.
The ClickShare product is intended to be used in ofce an d indoor environments only.
Only use the power cord supplied with yo ur dev ice. While appearing to be similar, other power cords have n ot be en safety
tested at the factory and may not be us ed to power the device. For a replacement power cord, contact your dealer.
This product should be operated from an A C power source. P ower input is a uto-ranging from 100 V t o 240 V @ 50 to 60 Hz.
Do not allow anything t o rest on the power c ord. Do not loc ate this product where persons will walk on the c ord. To disconnect
the cord, pull it out by the plug. Never pull the cord itself.
If an extension cord is used with this product, make sure that the total of the Ampere ratings on the products plugged into the
extension cord does not exceed the extension cord Ampere ra ting.
Never spill liquid of any kind on the product. Should any liquid or s olid object fall into the cabinet, unplug the se
t and have it
checked by qualied service personnel before resuming operations.
Lightning - For added protection for this p roduct during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long
periods of time, unplug it from the w all outlet. This will prevent damage to the device due to lightning a n d A C power-line s urges.
Only use attachments/accessories s pecied by the manufacturer.
WARNING: Ensure you understand and follow all safety guidelines, safety instructions, warnings and cau-
tions mentioned in the product documentation.
WARNING: The m ains power plug connected to the wall outlet m ust be easily accessible at all times for all
installation modes.
Environment
Do not place this equipment on an unstable cart, stand, or table. The product may fall, causing s erious damage to it.
1.2 Service
Risk of electric shock
Do not o pen. To reduce the risk o f electric shock, do not rem ove the cov er. No user- serviceable parts inside. Refer all servicing to
qualied service personnel.
Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualied service personnel under the following conditions:
When the power cor d or plug is dam aged or frayed.
If liquid has been spilled into the equipment.
If the product has been exposed to rain or water.
If the product does not ope rate normally when the operating instructions are followed. Adjust only those controls that a re
covered by the operating instructions s ince improper adjustment of the other controls ma y result in dam age and will often
require ex tensive work by a qualied technician to restore the product to normal operation.
If the product has been dropped or the cabinet has been damaged.
If the product e xhibits a distinct change in performance, indicating a need for service.
Replacement parts: W hen replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician has used original BARCO replace-
ment parts or authorized replacement parts which hav e the sam e characteristics as the BARCO original part. Unauthorized
substitutions may result in degraded per formance and reliabilit
y, re, electric shock or other hazards. Unauthorized substitu-
tions may void warranty.
Safety check: Upo n com pletion of any service or r epairs to this device, as k the service technician to per form safety checks to
determine that the product is in proper operating condition.
1.3 Heat and re hazard

Barco products are designed and manufactured to m eet the m ost stringent safety regulations.
This device radiates heat on its external surfaces during normal opera tion, which is both normal and safe. Exposing ammable or
combustible materials into close proximity of this device could re sult in the spontaneous ignition of that m aterial, resulting in a re.
For this reason, it is absolutely necessary to leave an “exclusion zone” around all external surfaces of the device where no ammable

or combustible materials are present. The exclusion zone must be not less than 40 c m (16”) for all Barco devices. Do not cover the
device with any material while the it is in operation.
Mount the device in a we ll ventilated area away from sources of ignition and out of direct sun light.
In the event of re, use sand, CO2, or dry powder re extinguishers; never use water on an electrical re.
1.4 Environmental Condition Check

For installations in environments whe re the device is subject to excessive dust, then it is highly advisable and desirable to have this
dust removed prior to it reaching the device clean air supply. Devices or structures to extract or shield exces sive dust well away
from the device are a prerequisite; if this is not a feasible solution then measures to r elocate the device to a clean air environment
should be considered.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure at all times that the device is protected from the harmful effects of hostile airborne particles
in the environm ent of the dev ice. T he manufacturer reserves the right to refuse repair if a device has b een subject to negligence,
abandon or improper use .

Do not install the device in a site near heat sources su ch as radiators or air ducts, or in a place subject to direct sunlight, ex cessive
dust or humidity. Be aware that room heat rises to the c eiling; check that temper ature near the installation site is not excessive.
