1. Installation
1a. Install to Wood Stud Wall
Warning!
Make sure the surface will safely support the combined load of the bracket and all
attached hardware and components.
Tighten screws firmly, but don’t over tighten. Over tightening can damage the items and
reduce their holding power.
Make sure the screws are anchored into the center of the studs. Using an “edge to edge”
stud finder is highly recommended.
The bracket is used for mounting into standard thickness drywall or studs. Installers are
responsible to provide hardware for other types of mounting situations.
Using an edge-to-edge stud finder is highly recommended. Based on their edges, draw a
vertical line down on the stud’s center.
Place the wall plate on wall as a template. And mark the center of the two mounting holes.
Make sure that the mounting holes are on the stud centerline.
Drill two 1/8” (3mm) diameter holes 1.2” (30mm) deep. Secure it using two screws (P-A).
Make sure that the wall plate is placed as shown in fig. 1.1.
1b. Install to Solid Brick and Concrete Block
Warning!
When installing onto a cinder block, make sure that you have a minimum of 1/8” (3mm) of
concrete thickness in the hole to be used for concrete anchors. Do not drill into mortar
joints. Be sure to mount into a solid part of the block, with sufficient distance from the side
of the block. It is recommended to use an electric drill with slow mode instead of a
hammer to avoid damaging the surface of wall while drilling a cavity.
Please ensure that the surface will safely support the combined load of the bracket and
all attached hardware and components.
Place the wall plate on wall as a template and mark the holes as shown in fig. 1.2.
Drill these holes with a 8mm masonry to at least 40mm in depth. Insert a concrete anchor
(P-B) into each of these holes. Attach the wall plate with two screws (P-A).
2. Install the DVD Player
Adjust the width of the support arms and the height of clamp covers accordingly to the
DVD player (1).
Turn the clamp covers outward (2) to place the DVD player onto the support arms, then
turn the clamp covers back, and tighten the clamp covers with the knobs to secure the
DVD player (3).
3. Adjust the Angle
This bracket can be folded parallel to the wall to save space, as shown in fig. 3.1.
Lift the bracket with attached DVD player upwards until the acme and then slowly put it
down, as shown in fig. 3.1.
Maintenance
Once you have mounted the DVD bracket, check that it is sufficiently secure
and safe to use. You should check whether the screws are fixed well every two
months.
