Here we describe how to set up, configure and use the Verifone VX675 payment device.

Installing the paper roll on the VX675
Set up your device correctly before you start using:

Hook your finger under the latch and lift up to swing the paper roll cover open.
Remove any partial roll of paper in the printer tray.
Loosen the glued leading edge of the new paper roll and unwind it past any glue residue.
Drop the paper roll into the tray, ensuring the paper feeds from the bottom of the roll.
Pull paper up past the glue residue.
Close the paper rollover gently, allowing a small amount of paper to extend outside the printer door.

Hold until the terminal displays the startup screen.
Turning off the VX675
Hold . The device will beep repeatedly and then power down.
Connecting the VX675 to your wireless network
Ensure the VX675 fully charged.
To fully charge the Terminal, leave plugged into the powered USB cable until the LED indicator remains
lit.
Press + to open the Admin menu.9

Choose .Setup wifi
Choose .Scan
The terminal displays the message "Scanning networks", while it looks for a network.
Choose the desired network and enter the wireless password. The terminal will connect to the network.
Boarding the terminal - VX675
Board the terminal only after successfully following the steps in Getting Started.
Boarding with the Adyen App
Ensure the VX675 fully charged.
To fully charge the terminal, leave plugged into the powered USB cable until the led indicator remains lit.
Press + to open the Admin menu.9
Choose .Network config
On the next screen, Choose and make a note of the terminal's IP address.Network config
Open the Adyen App on your mobile device.
Tap .Add New Device
Choose .WIFI
Enter the IP address of the terminal.
Tap to begin the boarding process.Add device
During the boarding process the terminal reboots. After the process is complete the terminal is ready to
use.

Basic functionality - VX675
If the terminal shows an exclamation at the top bar, this means that the terminal holds data which it
failed to synchronise to Adyen platform due to lack of an outgoing internet connection.
EMV (Chip) Transaction
Initiate a transaction via your app.
If the terminal is in standalone mode, use the select key in the middle of the directional pad to
select on the screen. Enter the amount and then press .Start

When the terminal is ready, insert the chip card into the terminal and allow it to read the card.
When prompted, the customer enters a PIN on the terminal and presses .
For CHIP & Sign, a signature prompt occurs instead of a PIN prompt.
Do NOT remove the card until prompted to do so or the transaction will be void.
After the authorization is approved, the terminal displays and the card may be removed.Approved
Magnetic Stripe Transaction
Initiate a transaction via your App or Cash Register.
If the terminal is in standalone mode, press on the screen, enter the amount and then Start
press the key.
After the terminal is ready, swipe the magnetic stripe card through the reader on the right side of the
terminal.
Sign the transaction.

4. After authorization approval, message appears on the terminal signifying that the transaction Approved
is complete.
Special payment functions menu
The special payment functions menu allows access to custom or ad-hoc payment options. Available entries in
the menu may vary, depending on your merchant configuration.
To enter the special payment functions menu, do the following:
Press + .8
Enter the PIN code to unlock the device.
If you do not know the code, contact the to obtain the specific PIN code for Adyen POS Support Team
your device.
Depending on your configuration, one or more of the following payment options are normally available:
Normal payment
Choose this option to access the payment screen, where you can enter an amount.
Manual entry payment
Choose this option to access the payment screen.
After entering an amount, press .
You are prompted to input the , and then the card expiry date.PAN
Refund
Choose this option to perform a refund to a card:
Enter the amount you want to refund.
Press .
The transaction then follows the normal flow.
Maintenance - VX675
Inspecting device security - VX675
Adyen makes use of secure, certified payment terminals. The integrity of these devices is crucial, as they
process sensitive card data.
Please make sure you and your store staff do the following:
Verify your device looks like the pictures in this manual.
The Adyen logo or your company logo should show up after powering on the terminal.
Do not use the device if it is damaged or covered with a sticker.
Verify the identity of any third-party persons claiming to be repair or maintenance personnel, prior to
granting them access to modify or troubleshoot devices.
Do not install, replace, or return devices without verification.

Be aware of suspicious behaviour around devices (for example, attempts by unknown persons to
unplug or open devices).
Report suspicious behaviour and indications of device tampering or substitution to appropriate
personnel (for example, to a manager or security officer).
Adyen recommends enforcing procedures to perform visual device integrity inspections on a weekly
basis.

Replacing paper rolls -VX675
The VX680 uses the following receipt paper:
Paper Roll Width: 2 1/4" / 58mm
Diameter: 25/40mm
Core Size: 12mm
Paper Roll Length: 50'
It is important you have sufficient stock of receipt paper, as without receipt paper it is not possible to
accept payments.
Paper is the merchant’s responsibility (Adyen does not sell paper).
Gently pull the latch located on the top of the terminal to unlock the paper roll cover.
Lift the printer cover up and then back.›
Remove any partial roll of paper in the printer tray by lifting it up.
Loosen the glued leading edge of the paper or remove the protective strip from the new roll of paper.
Unwind the paper roll past any glue residue.
Hold the roll so that the paper feeds from the bottom of the roll when the terminal is inverted.

Drop the paper roll into the printer tray.
Pull the paper up past the glue residue on the paper roll.
Close the paper roll cover by gently pressing directly on the cover until it clicks shut. Allow a small
amount of paper past the glue residue to extend outside of the printer cover.
Tear the paper off against the serrated plastic strip in the printer.
Admin menu - VX675
To enter the terminal admin menu, press + 9.
Enter the admin PIN code (contact the ). Adyen POS Support Team
The admin menu opens.

Power off terminal Turns off/Shuts down the terminal.
Print totals (Only available on standalone terminals)
Generates a receipt showing the total processed amount per currency per card type.

Network config View network configuration information such as IP address, Gateway, Netmask and
DNS settings.
Posregister config Determines the connection to the POS cash register, either HTTP & serial or HTTP &
USB.
Show config Shows the following information:
Firmware version the terminal is running
Merchant account the terminal is registered to
Additional details.
Versions info Information includes firmware and software version, OS version, kernel version, card
slot version etc.
Print config Prints the terminal configuration overview.
This option applies only when a printer is connected to the terminal and to
.standalone terminals with integrated printer

Network config Top-level option of the network configuration sub-menu:
Setup Wi-Fi Allows connecting the terminal to the desired Wi-Fi network.
