Introduction
Parker Hannifin’s icountBS represents the most up-to-date technology in solid particle
contamination analysis. The icountBS is a compact, durable, lightweight integrated laser-
based particle detector module that provides a cost-effective solution to fluid management and
contamination control.
Principles of operation
The icountBS measures particle contamination via a sample bottle or on line. The sampling interval
can be defined by the user so that measurements may be taken as often as required.
In contrast to other Parker particle counters (such as the CM20, LCM20, ACM20 or MCM20), the
icountBS allows you to set the volume of the test sample and the number of measurements taken
for each bottle sample. The results are reported immediately, but also stored in the unit’s internal
memory and may be downloaded later for analysis by third-party applications (such as Microsoft®
Excel).
The icountBS has high levels of controlled accuracy, stability and sensitivity.
Servicing and calibration
Please refer to the Parker Hannifin Quality and Servicing booklet (FDCB272UK), supplied on CD.
NOTE: Any servicing or repair work must be carried out by a Parker approved service
centre. Contact your local Parker Hannifin Sales Company for recalibration details.
The recommended period between recalibration is 12 months.
NOTE: Do not dispose of the original packaging, as this is required to return the
icountBS to the Condition Monitoring Service Centre safely for recalibration and
servicing.
