oral, rectal and armpit (axilla) readings only.
Do not place thermometer battery near extreme heat as
it may explode.
Use of a probe cover may result in a 0.1°C (0.2° F)
discrepancy from actual temperature.
It is recommended that the performance should be
checked every two years.
Remove the battery from the device when not in
operation over long periods of time.
The performance of the digital thermometer may be
degraded if one or more of the following occur:
a) Operation outside the stated temperature and
humidity range
b) Storage outside the stated temperature and
humidity range
c) Mechanical shock
d) Patient temperature is below ambient temperature
Do not bend or drop digital thermometer.
It is not shockproof.
Do not boil probe to disinfect.
Do not store in direct sunlight or in areas of extreme heat.
Do attempt to disassemble or repair thermometer. See
BATTERY REPLACEMENT to replace the battery. Do not place in

HOW TO CHANGE BETWEEN CELSIUS AND FAHRENHEIT
Temperature readings are available in both Celsius and
Fahrenheit (°C/°F is displayed in the upper right corner
of the LCD screen). With the device turned off, press and
hold the On/Off button for approximately three seconds to
change the current settings.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Wipe the probe with isopropyl alcohol to disinfect.
2. Press the On/Off button next to the LCD display to turn
the device on. A tone will sound as the display shows ’ ’
. The display will then show the current temperature scale,

b.) Rectal use: Lubricate silver probe tip with petroleum
jelly for easy insertion. Gently insert sensor approximately
1 cm (less than 1/2”) into the rectum. Normal temperature
range for a rectal reading is between 36.2°C and 37.7°C
(97.2°F and 99.9°F).
c.) Armpit use: Wipe armpit dry. Place probe in the armpit
and keep arm firmly pressed at side. From a medical
viewpoint, this method will always provide inaccurate
readings, and should not be used in precise readings
are required. Normal temperature range for an axilla
reading is between 35.2°C and 36.7°C (95.4°F and 98.1°F).
a.) Oral use: Place thermometer
probe under the tongue as
indicated by the check mark in
Figure 2. Close your mouth and
breathe evenly through the nose
to prevent the measurement from
being influenced by inhales/exhaled
air. Normal temperature range for
an oral reading is between 35.7°C
and 37.3°C (96.3°F and 99.1°F).

4. When the peak temperature is reached, the degrees
sign will stop flashing and an audible alarm will sound.
Note: A normal temperature will sound as steady beeps
“Bi-Bi-Bi-Bi”; alarm sounds more rapidly when temperatures
of 37.8°C (100°F) are detected “Bi-Bi-Bi-----Bi-Bi-Bi---”.
5. To prolong battery life, press the On/Off to turn the
device off after testing. If no action is taken, the device will
automatically shut off after ten minutes of inactivity.
