Notstativ
Du kan använda hörnen på det öppna topplocket till att hålla notboken öppen.
Pedalerna
Det finns 3 pedaler på LX-15 – en forte-, sostenuto- och en piano-pedal.
Den vänstra är en “Piano-pedal”, som dämpar det du spelar på klaviaturen.
Pedalen i mitten är en sostenuto-pedal, som låter de toner klinga som är ned-
tryckta när pedalen aktiveras.
Till höger finns “Forte-pedalen”, som låter alla de toner/ackord du har spelat, klinga
tills du släpper pedalen.
Hörlurar
Instrumentet har 2 hörlursuttag – benämnda ”Phones”, som du finner under
klaviaturen till vänster. På detta sätt kan 2 personer spela på klaviaturen samtidig,
med var sitt set hörlurar. Detta är mycket användbart till pianoundervisning och
fyrhändigt piano. Hörlurarna köps separat.

Välj ljud
LX-15 innehåller fler än 347 olika ljud – också kallat Tones. Dessa ljud är orga-
niserade i fem grupper. Du finner en översikt över LX-15’s ljud på sida 52 i den
engelska bruksanvisningen.
Du väljer en ljudgrupp genom att trycka på en av ljudvalsknapparna.
1. Välj ljudgrupp genom att trycka på en av [Tone]-knapparna. Lampan i knappen
lyser och du kan spela med ett ljud från den valda ljudgruppen. Displayen visar
namn och nummer på valt ljud.
2. Tryck på [+]- eller [-]-knapparna för att välja ett annat ljud i den valda ljudgruppen.
Dubbelljud - spela med 2 ljud samtidigt
Du kan spela med två ljud samtidig. Detta kallas “Dual Play”
1. Tryck på [Grand]-knappen och håll den nedtryckt samtidigt som du trycker på
[Strings]-knappen. När du spelar på tangenterna kommer du att höra både Piano-
ljuden och Strings-ljuden. Detta är bara ett exempel. Du kan själv sätta samman

Performing with Various Sounds
In addition to piano sounds, the LX-15 lets you enjoy performing with many other sounds (347 types).
These sounds are called “Tones.” The Tones are divided into  ve groups, each of which is assigned to a di erent Tone button.
Switching Tones
Let’s start by performing with a piano tone.
When you turn on the power, the “ConcertPiano” tone is selected.

Piano [Early] button Selects sounds of early historical pianos.
[E. Piano] button Selects various electric piano sounds used in pop or rock.
[Strings] button Selects the sounds of string instruments such as violins, as well as other instruments used in orchestras.
[Other] button
Selects a variety of sounds such as organ, bass, or accompaniment sounds.
* If you select tone numbers 43–51, you’ll be able to use the keyboard to play the sounds of a drum set.
* If you’ve selected an organ sound that provides a rotary e ect (*1), such as a Combo Jz. Org or a Ballad Organ, pressing the [Other]
button will switch the speed of the rotary e ect.
For details on the tones, refer to “Tone List” (p. 52).
*1 Rotary e ect:
Rotary is an e ect which simulates the sound of rotating speakers. There is a choice of two settings: Fast and Slow.
2. Use the [–] [+] buttons to select a variation within the tone group.
* If you’ve selected a drum set tone or an SFX set tone, some notes of the keyboard will not produce sound.
Auditioning tones ( tone demo)
1. While holding down a tone button, press the [ ] (Play/Stop) button.
A tone demo will play.
2. To stop the tone demo, press the [Song] button.
If you are using the VIMA TUNES
You can connect a USB CD drive (sold separately) to the LX-15 (p. 47), and play back separately sold CD-ROMs created for the VIMA.
Songs on VIMA CD-ROM (VIMA TUNES) are programmed with “recommended tones” suitable for each song.
When you select a song from a VIMA CD-ROM (VIMA TUNES), recommended tones will be assigned to theLX-15’s [E. Piano],
[Strings], and [Other] tone buttons, and these three tone buttons will blink. When you press a  ashing Tone button, the
recommended tone is then selected, enabling you to perform the selected song using a tone matched to that song as it plays back.

When you play the keyboard, you’ll hear both the piano and the strings tones.

The LX-15 lets you add reverberation or modify the brightness of the sound.
Changing the clarity of the sound (opening/closing the lid)
Opening the lid will make the sound more sharply de ned; closing the lid
produces a more mellow sound (p. 12).
Adding Reverberation to the Sound ( Ambience)
You can add a pleasant reverberation to the sounds of the LX-15, producing the impression that you are performing in a concert hall. This e ect is
called “Ambience.”

The way in which the keyboard responds to your playing strength can be adjusted to your personal taste.

strongly you play the keyboard.

Transponering
Du kan transponera din musik till en annan tonart, utan att ändra på ditt spel. Om
du till exempel har övat in ett stycke musik i en tonart, och du kommer på att du
vill spela det i en annan tonart, så behöver du inte öva in stycket en gång till i den
nya tonarten. Du spelar bara stycket i den gamla tonarten och ber LX-15 om att
flytta det till den nya tonarten.
Transponeringen avaktiveras när du stänger av instrumentet.
1. Tryck på [Transpose]-knappen och lampan i knappen lyser – transponering är vald.
2. Tryck på [Transpose]-knappen och håll den nedtryckt. Tryck på den tangent, du
önskar att välja som ny grundton – eller så kan du också trycka på [+]- och [-]-knap-
parna. Displayen visar ditt val.
3. Stäng av transponeringen genom att trycka på [Transpose]-knappen så lampan i
knappen släcks.

Metronom

Spela med andra stämningstyper
LX-15 kan spela med gamla stämningstyper, som man använde under barocken.
I dag stämmer man, så det är lika långt mellan alla halvtonerna, och därför kan vi
spela i alla tonarter med samma stämning (kallas likasvävande stämning). I gamla
dagar stämde man utifrån övertonsserien, och man skapade stämningstyper,
som hade rena terser, kvarter, o.s.v. Detta innebar, att man bara kunde spela i den
tonart man hade stämt i - annars lät det falskt. 1. Tryck på Piano [Grand]-knappen
och håll den nedtryckt medan du trycker på Piano [Early]-knappen. Skärmbilden
för Piano Designer-funktionen visas.

Equal—Lika långt mellan alla halvtonerna, och därför kan vi spela i alla tonarter
med samma stämning.
Just Major—En metod, som bygger på rena kvinter och terser. Ger snygga ackord,
men skalorna är obalanserade och svåra att spela melodier med. Kan inte transpo-
neras.
Just Minor—Som Just Major (dur), men till mollstämning.
Pythagorean—Denna stämningstyp är uppkallad efter Pythagoras. Den bygger på
rena kvinter och kvarter i en bestämd tonart. Bra till enstämmiga melodier.
Kirnberger—Denna stämning är ett resultat av utvecklingen av "middeltone" och
"Just-stämningen". Du kan förhållandevis fint spela i alla tonarter..
Mean Ton—(Middeltone). Denna stämning är en kompromiss av "Just-stämnin-
gen", så du kan spela i olika tonarter.
Werckmeister—Är en kombination av "middeltone" och "pythagorean", och tillåter
spel i alla tonarter.
Arabic – Arabisk-skala.
Observera! När du väljer stämningstyp, skall du också välja vilken tonart du vill
spela i. Detta görs med ”Temperament Key”.
Lyssna till låtar
LX-15 har 195 interna låtar (se översikt sida 53 i den engelska bruksanvisningen),
som du kan lyssna till och spela tillsammans med. Du kan också spela upp låtar
från ett USB-minne (extra utrustning).
