INSTALL:
STEP 1: Slide clip onto strap to within six inches of the Power Hook. Make
sure the hook on the clip is oriented exactly as shown in drawing (D) at right.
Repeat on other strap.
STEP 2: Insert the strap through the tensioning buckle. Fully press thumb
release and thread strap through the bottom of buckle (see figures 1a, 1b
and 1c). Pull strap through about six inches.
Repeat on other strap.
STEP 3: Lower awning. Insert the U-shaped tab of the Power Hook into
awning roller valance slot, with strap on the top of the roller (see figure 2).
STEP 4: Looping the strap around the roller, place clip in slot on end of the
Power Hook (see figure 3). Repeat with other strap on opposite end of roller.
STEP 5: Slide square end of spring through strap and attach other end of
spring to awning foot as shown (see figures 4a and 4b).
Repeat on other side of awning.
STEP 6: Raise awning to desired height. Extend upper arms on awning and
tighten both securely.
STEP 7: Pull strap through buckle until the awning reaches desired tightness
(see figure 5).
Repeat on other strap.
TO REMOVE:
Release tension by pressing buckle.
CAUTION: When removing the Power Hook, hold firm tension on the excess
strap with one hand while pressing the buckle to prevent the spring from
recoiling too quickly.
TO STORE:
When not in use, store strap and hardware out of direct sunlight/moisture for
maximum life.
