The difference between the 1st generation chassis and the 2nd generation chassis are
listed below.
1. New chassis design.
2. New chassis color scheme. 1st generation units are beige while 2nd generation
units are white and blue
3. Control port is now a female DB-9 instead of RJ-45.
4. The Control Port has been renamed Craft Port.
5. A DBU LED has been added to the front panel. This LED is be active when the
unit has engaged in a DBU session and inactive while in a normalized state.
Note:
A DB9(female) to DB9(male) cable is required to access the unit via the craft
port. This cable is not shipped with the unit and must be supplied by the
customer.
1st generation modules cannot be installed in a 2nd generation chassis.
2nd generation modules can be installed in a 1st generation chassis.
