IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS

• This appliance is intended for domestic household use only and should not be used for

any other purpose or in any other application, such as for non-domestic use or in a

commercial environment.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they

have been given supervision or instructions concerning use of the appliance by a person

responsible for their safety.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• The battery must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped.

You must dispose of this product according to local laws and regulations.

Because this product contains electronic components and batteries, the product must be disposed of

separately from household waste when the product reaches its end of life.

The product should be taken to your local collection point for recycling.

Some collection points accept products free of charge.

ENVIRONMENTAL RECEPTION EFFECTS

Your radio controlled weather station obtains the accurate time with wireless technology. Same as all

wireless devices, the receiving ability maybe affected by, but not limited to, the following

circumstances:-

• Long transmitting distance

• Nearby mountains and valleys

• Among tall buildings

• Near railway, high voltage cable etc.

• Near road, airports, etc

• Near construction sites

• Inside concrete buildings

• Near electrical appliances

• Near computers and TV’s

• Wireless Broadband

• Inside moving vehicles

• Near metallic structures

Place your weather station at a location with optimal signal, i.e. close to a window and way from

metal surfaces or electrical appliances.

Viewing Angle

You must keep in mind that the LCD screen is constructed with an “optimum viewing angle”. Your

eye level should be at around 60 degree to view the LCD screen correctly.

Front

QUICK SETUP

Step 1:

Slide open the battery cover at the back of your weather station, insert 3 x AA batteries into the

battery compartment by observing the correct + / - polarity signs inside the battery compartment.

Replace the battery cover.

Step 2:

Keep your weather station and wireless transmitter next to each other. Slide open the battery cover at

the back of your wireless transmitter, then insert 2 x AAA batteries to the battery compartment.

Replace the battery cover.

Make sure CH1 (Channel 1) is displayed on the top of the outdoor temperature. You could press + /

CHANNEL to select Channel 1. Make sure CH1 (Channel1) is selected on the switch inside the

battery compartment of the transmitter. Replace the battery cover.

Your weather station will receive data signal from the transmitter after a short time.

Then place your transmitter in a dry location and route the outdoor sensor cable to a convenient

outside position.

Remarks:

The transmitter is for indoor use only and must not be placed outside.

The outdoor sensor cable should be routed outside through a window, door etc, ensuring that the

cable does not become trapped, as any damage to the cable is not covered by the manufacturer’s

warranty.

The outdoor sensor cable can be secured by the sticky pad provided or a screw (not provided).

The outdoor sensor cable must be positioned away from direct sunlight as this could result in an

inaccurate reading.

Remarks:

Keep in mind that your transmitter has a 30-meter open air transmission with no obstructions. Actual

transmission range will vary depending on what is in the path of the signal.

Each obstruction (roof, walls, floors, ceilings, thick trees, etc.) will effectively cut signal range in half.

Insert the holder into the bottom of the transmitter for desktop use or insert it into the back of the

transmitter for internal wall mount purpose

DCF SIGNAL RECEPTION AND SIGNAL INDICATOR

(The DCF77 signal is a radio time signal which operates across much of Central and Western Europe)

After your weather station is powered up, it starts to receive DCF signal. The icon flashes.

Weak or no DCF signal (only icon flashing)

Receiving strong DCF signal (

icon flashing)

Successful Reception ( icon becomes static)

Failed Reception (

icon disappear)

Remark: When your weather station is receiving radio controlled time signal, all buttons except the

snooze / light button will not function.

DCF TIME SIGNAL RECEPTION

Your weather station will automatically update itself to the exact time after receipt of the DCF time

code. The weather station will automatically attempt to receive the DCF signal every morning at 1:00

am, 2:00 am, 3:00 am, and 4: 00 am and onwards. If it receives the DCF signal at 3:00 am it will stop

receiving until 1: 00 am the next day.

To start DCF reception manually, press WAVE / – (°C/°F) button for 2 seconds. To stop DCF

reception, press and hold WAVE / – (°C/°F) for 2 seconds.

TO SET CALENDAR, TIME ZONE, 12/24 HR TIME FORMAT, TIME

1. Press and hold SET / ALM SET for 2 seconds, the time digits change to year 2010 and

flash with Yr.Press + / - to set year.

2. Press SET / ALM SET once again, the month will digits flash. Press +/- button to set

month.

3. Press SET / ALM SET once again, the date digits flash. Press +/- button to set date. Then

press SET once again, the time digits change to “00”and flash. Press +/- button to select

time zone:-

“00” = GMT +1 hour (e.g. Germany)

“01” = GMT +2 hours (e.g. Finland)

“-01” = GMT 00 hour (e.g. U.K.)

4. Press SET / ALM SET again, the time digits change to “24Hr“and flash. Press +/- to select

12/24 hr time format: When the 12Hr time format is selected, the AM / PM indicator will be

displayed.

5. Press SET / ALM SET again, the hour digits will flash. Press+/- to set the hours.

6. Press SET / ALM SET again, the minute digits will flash. Press +/- button to set the

minutes.

7. Press SET / ALM SET to return to normal mode, or it will return to normal mode in around

15 seconds if no further buttons are pressed.

TO SET ALARM TIME

1. Press SET / ALM SET once, time digits change to alarm time digits “6:00” and “A1”. Then

press and hold SET / ALM SET for 2 seconds, the alarm hour digits will flash. Press +/- to

set the hours of your desired alarm time.

2. Press SET / ALM SET once again, the alarm minute digits will flash. Press +/- button to

set the minutes of your desired alarm time.

3. Press SET / ALM SET once again, the day of week icons “MON” to “SUN” flash, press +/-

to select:

MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT, SUN Daily Alarm throughout the whole

week

MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI Daily Alarm on weekdays only

SAT, SUN Daily Alarm on weekend only

4. Your weather station will return to normal mode, or it will return to normal mode in around

15 seconds if no further buttons are pressed.

5. To set Alarm 2, press SET / ALM SET until the time digits change to alarm time digits

“6:00” and “A2” is displayed. Then repeat the above Alarm 1 setting.

TO TURN ON OR OFF YOUR ALARM

Simply press ALM On-Off to turn on or off the Alarm 1 and/or Alarm 2.

When Alarm 1 is turned on, the

1 appears. When Alarm 2 is turned on, the 2 appears.

TO USE SNOOZE ALARM

When time reaches your set alarm time, your weather station will give a beep sound to wake you up.

The corresponding 1 or 2 will flash.

1) Press the top of the weather station once to stop the alarm temporarily, 1 or 2

keeps flashing. The alarm will beep again in 5 minutes.

2) To stop the alarm, press ALM On/Off once, the alarm beep will stop and 1 or 2

become static, alarm will beep again at the same time the next day.

Alarm Duration: 2 minutes

TO USE BACKLIGHT

Press the top of the weather station once, the LCD display illuminates for approximately 5 seconds

and then turns off.

Remark: When the backlight is illuminated the function buttons will not operate.

TO DISPLAY TEMPERATURE IN DEGREE °C OR °F

Simply press WAVE / – (°C/°F) to display temperature in degrees °C or degrees °F.

WEATHER FORECASTER ICON AND PRESSURE TREND INDICATOR

Your weather station has a built-in barometric sensor which measures the change of the air pressure

over time. Your weather station takes around 24 hours to gather average air- pressure readings to

provide a weather forecast for next 12-24 hours.

WEATHER ICONS

There are five possible types of weather icons that will be displayed:

SUNNY

SUNNY AND CLOUDY

(PARTLY SUNNY)

CLOUDY

RAINY

STORMY

FROST ALERT

Frost Alert Icon appears when outdoor temperature

is below +3°C

AIR PRESSURE TENDENCY INDICATORS

When the

arrow appears, the air pressure is increasing; the weather is expected to improve.

When the arrow appears, the air pressure is decreasing; the weather is expected to become

worse.

When the

arrow appears, the air pressure change is stable.

AIR PRESSURE HISTORY BAR CHART

1. The bar chart indicates the air pressure history trend over the last 12 hours in 6 steps: 0h,

-1h, -2h, -3h, -6h and -12h.

2. The “0h” represents the current full hour air pressure recording.

3. The columns represent the “hPa” at specific time.

4. If the bars are rising, it means that the weather is getting better due to the increase of air

pressure.

5. If the bars go down, it means the air pressure has dropped and the weather is expected to

get worse from the present time “0h”.

Remarks: Moving your weather station from one floor of a building to another floor will affect the

accuracy of your weather station, which should operate at the same altitude all the time. If you move

it to a new location, it will take 12-24 hours to stabilise and be accurate again.

Our weather station provides the next 12-24 hours weather forecast. It may not match with the

current weather condition outside.

TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY TENDENCY INDICATORS

Appears when the current measured temperature / humidity is 1°C or 5% higher than

the last measurement of temperature and humidity

Appears when the current measured temperature / humidity is 1°C or 5% lower than the

last measurement of temperature and humidity

Appears when the current measured temperature is within +/-1°C or +/-5% from the last

measurement of temperature or humidity in the last 1 hour

TO READ MAXIMUM-MINUMUM INDOOR-OUTDOOR TEMPERATURES, HUMIDITY AND AIR

PRESSURE

Simply press the MEM button to view the maximum indoor-outdoor temperatures and humidity, the

air pressure records with “MAX” icons will appearing on the display. Press again to view the minimum

indoor-outdoor temperatures and humidity and the air pressure records and “MIN” icons appearing on

the display.

When the maximums or minimums are displayed, press and hold the MEM to reset both records and

it will start to record the maximums and minimums again.

IF YOU LOSE THE OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY

When the outdoor temperature and humidity digits show "---": the wireless transmission has been

interrupted or lost. Press and hold the + / CHANNEL button and your weather station will start to

search for the signal from the transmitter. If you continue to lose the outdoor temperature

and humidity display, which could happen in extreme cold weather, try placing the transmitter in a

different location until you have smooth transmission of temperature / humidity data.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If your weather station clock shows irrelevant information or digits, it maybe affected by electrostatic

discharge or interferences from other devices. Use a sharp object to press RESET on the back of the

weather station. Your unit will be reset to default settings and you will need to set the time, calendar

and alarm time again.

Problem Solution

LCD is blank 1. Press RESET on the main unit.

2. Replace fresh batteries in your weather station.

No Outdoor Temperature and

Humidity is displayed

1. Press and hold MEM on the weather station.

2. Press and hold MEM, then press RESET on the

transmitter.

3. Make sure the correct channel is selected on your

weather station (default setting is “CH1” – Channel 1)

4. Observe if the Low Battery icon appears on the left of

the outdoor temperature. If yes, replace batteries in

transmitter with fresh batteries.

5. Make sure no other interfering sources are being

used (such as computer monitors, TV sets,

headphones, or speakers) in the path of the signal

from the transmitter. The signal travels in a straight

line; an electrical source near that “line” may cause

interference.

Temperature, humidity, or air

pressure is incorrect

1. Press RESET on the main unit.

2. Make sure your main unit and the transmitter is away

from sources of heat / cold / direct sunshine.

CARE OF YOUR WEATHER STATION

1. Do not expose the unit to extreme temperature, water or direct sunlight.

2. Avoid contact with any corrosive materials.

3. Do not subject the unit to excessive force, dust or humidity.

4. Do not open the inner back case or tamper with any components of this unit.

CLEANING YOUR WEATHER STATION

To clean the weather station, use a soft, dry cloth. If the surfaces are extremely dirty, use a soft cloth

lightly moistened with a mild detergent solution. Do not use strong solvents such as alcohol, benzene

or thinner, as these might damage the surface of the unit.
