ACCESS CONTROL
TROJAN recommends that all fitness equipment be used in a supervised area. It is recommended that the equipment be located in
an access controlled area. Control is the responsibility of the owner. Keep children away from all equipment. Parents or others super-
vising adults must provide close supervision of children if the equipment is used in the presence of children.
INSTALLATION
TROJAN recommends that all equipment:
• Besecuredtoorsetuponasolid,levelsurfacetostabilizeandeliminaterockingortippingoverduringtraining.
• Besetupinsideyourhomeawayfrommoistureanddust(theequipmentisnotdesignedforoutdooruse).
• Besetupwithsufcientventilationtoensureproperoperation.
• Besetupwithsufcientspacearoundtheequipmentsothatallexercisescanbecompletedsafely.Itis
recommendedthatthereshouldbeatleast1mofspacearoundtheequipmentwhereaccessisrequiredtoexercise.
Fortreadmillsitisrecommendedthatyouhave2mofspacebehindtherunningdeck.
• Beinstalledbyourteamofinstallers.
PROPER USAGE
• Donotusetheequipmentinanywayotherthanasdesignedorintendedbythemanufacturer.Itisimperativethat
TROJAN equipment is used properly to avoid injury.
• Injuriesmayresultfromexercisingimproperlyorexcessively.
• YourTROJANequipmentshouldonlybeusedbyonepersonatatime.
• Becarefultomaintainyourbalancewhileusing,mounting,dismounting,folding,unfoldingorassemblingyourTROJAN
equipment to avoid injury.
• Donotattempttoadjustanyseats/pads/pulleysetc.whileyouareonyourTROJANequipment.

• AttachtheFrontStandTube(2)andtheRear
Stand Tube (3) onto the Main Body (1).
• Tightenthe2Nuts(6),2Bolts(4)and2Washers
(5) using the spanner supplied on both Front and
BackStandTube.
STEP 02
• Removethe3Nuts(11)andthe3Washers(7)
from the Seat (8).
• PlacetheSeat(8)ontheSeatPost(9)and
secure using the 3 Nuts (11) and 3 Washers (7).
• PuttheSleeve(23)ontotheSeatPost(9).
• LoosentheAdjustmentKnob(18).
• SlidetheSeatPost(9)intotheMainBody(1).
• LineuptheholesontheSeatPost(9)andthe
Main Body (1).

5. COMPUTER FUNCTIONS
HOW TO REMOVE THE BATTERY
1.RemovethebatterycoverandplacetwoSIZE-AAorUM-3batteriesintothebatteryhousingonthebackofthe
consol (refer to the illustrations below).
2. Ensure batteries are correctly positioned and battery springs are in contact with batteries.
3. Replace battery cover and ensure it is tightly closed.
4.Batterylifeisapproximately1yearundernormalusage.
5. If the display is illegible or only partial segments appear, remove batteries and wait 15 seconds before reinstalling.
6. Removing the batteries will erase computer memory.

Auto on/off &
Auto Start/Stop
As long as the machine is in motion, the meter is in action. If there is no movement for 3 seconds,
the meter will be turned off automatically.
Auto Scan
Press the MODE button until the ARROW points to SCAN, the meter will rotate
through all 4 scanable functions --Speed, Distance, Time and Calorie. Each display will be held for 5
seconds. The RESET button will be inactive during this process.
Current Speed
Press the MODE button until the ARROW points to SPEED (the ARROW pointing to
SCAN is not displayed on the LCD), the current speed is displayed continuously.
Tr ip Distance
While pressing the MODE button until the ARROW points to DIST (the ARROW pointing to
SCAN is not displayed on the LCD), the trip distance is displayed continuously. Pressing the RESET
button will reset the function value to zero.
Elapsed Time
Press the MODE button until the ARROW points to TIME (the ARROW pointing to
SCAN is not displayed on the LCD), the elapsed time is displayed continuously. Pressing the RESET
button will reset the function value to zero.
Calories
Press the MODE button until the ARROW points to CAL (the ARROW pointing to
SCAN is not displayed on the LCD), the calorie consumption is displayed continuously. Pressing the
RESET button will reset the function value to zero.
Reset Pressing the MODE button for more than 3 seconds will reset all function values to zero.

muscle.Ifyouareworkingaboveyourtargetzone,youmaywanttodoalessamountofreps.

7. CONDITIONING GUIDELINES
Howyoubeginyourexerciseprogramdependsonyourphysicalcondition.Ifyouhavebeeninactiveforseveralyears,or
areseverelyoverweight,youmuststartslowlyandincreaseyourtimeontheequipment;afewminutesperworkout.
Initially,youmaybeabletoexerciseonlyforafewminutesinyourtargetzone,however,youraerobictnesswillimprove
overthenextsixtoeightweeks.Don’tbediscouragedifittakeslonger.It’simportanttoworkatyourownpace.Ultimately,you’llbe
abletoexercisecontinuouslyfor30minutes.Thebetteryouraerobictness,theharderyouwillhaveto
worktostayinyourtargetzone.Pleaseremembertheseessentials:
•Haveyourdoctorreviewyourtraininganddietprogramstoadviseyouofaworkoutroutineyoushouldadopt.
•Beginyourtrainingprogramslowlywithrealisticgoalsthathavebeensetbyyouandyourdoctor.
•Monitoryourpulsefrequently.Establishyourtargetheartratebasedonyourageandcondition.
•Setupyourequipmentonaat,evensurfaceatleast3feetfromwallsandfurniture.
EXERCISE INTENSITY
Tomaximizethebenetsofexercising,itisimportanttoexercisewiththe
proper intensity. The proper intensity level can be found by using your heart
rateasaguide.Foreffectiveaerobicexercise,yourheartrateshouldbe
maintainedatalevelbetween65%and85%ofyourmaximumheartrate
asyouexercise.Thisisknownasyourtargetzone.Youcanndyourtarget
zoneinthetablebelow.
Duringtherstfewmonthsofyourexerciseprogram,keepyourheartratenearthelowendofyourtargetzoneasyou
exercise.Afterafewmonths,yourheartratecanbeincreasedgraduallyuntilitisnearthemiddleofyourtargetzoneas
youexercise.
Tomeasureyourheartrate,stopexercisingbutcontinuemovingyourlegsorwalkingaroundandplacetwongerson
yourwrist.Takeasix-secondheartbeatcountandmultiplytheresultsby10tondyourheartrate.Forexample,ifyour
six-secondheartbeatcountis14,yourheartrateis140beatsperminute.(Asix-secondscountisusedbecauseyour
heartratewilldroprapidlywhenyoustopexercising.)
Adjusttheintensityofyourexerciseuntilyour
heart rate is at the proper level.

8. WARM-UP AND COOL-DOWN
WORKOUT GUIDELINES
Eachworkoutshouldincludethefollowingthreeparts:
Awarm-up,consistingof5to10minutesofstretchingandlightexercise.Aproperwarm-upincreasesyourbodytem-
perature,heartrate,andcirculationinpreparationforexercise.
Trainingzoneexercise,consistingof20to30minutesofexercisingwithyourheartrateinyourtrainingzone.(Note:
Duringtherstfewweeksofyourexerciseprogram,donotkeepyourheartrateinyourtrainingzoneforlongerthan
20 minutes.)
Acool-down,with5to10minutesofstretching.Thiswillincreasetheexibilityofyourmusclesandwillhelptoprevent
post-exerciseproblems.
EXERCISE FREQUENCY
Tomaintainorimproveyourcondition,planthreeworkoutseachweek,withatleastonedayofrestbetweenworkouts.
Afterafewmonthsofregularexercise,youmaycompleteuptoveworkoutseachweek,ifdesired.Remember,thekey
tosuccessismakeexercisearegularandenjoyablepartofyoureverydaylife.
SUGGESTED STRETCHES
The correct form for several basic stretches is shown at the right. Move slowly as you
stretch, never bounce.
1. Toe Touch Stretch
Standwithyourkneesbentslightlyandslowlybendforwardfromyourhips.Allow
yourbackandshoulderstorelaxasyoureachdowntowardyourtoesasfaraspos-
sible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3times.Stretches:Hamstrings,backof
kneesandback.
2. Hamstring Stretch
Sitwithonelegextended.Bringthesoleoftheoppositefoottowardyouandrestit
againsttheinnerthighofyourextendedleg.Reachtowardyourtoesasfaraspos-
sible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Stretches:Ham-
strings,lowerbackandgroin.
3. Calf/Achilles Stretch
With one leg in front of the other, reach forward and place your hands against a
wall.Keepyourbacklegstraightandyourbackfootatontheoor.Bendyour
front leg, lean forward and move your hips toward the wall. Hold for 15 counts, then
relax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Tocausefurtherstretchingoftheachillestendons,
bendyourbacklegaswell.Stretches:Calves,achillestendonsandankles.
4. Quadriceps Stretch
Withonehandagainstawallforbalance,reachbackandgrasponefootwithyour
otherhand.Bringyourheelasclosetoyourbuttocksaspossible.Holdfor15counts,
thenrelax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Stretches:Quadricepsandhipmuscles.
5. Inner Thigh Stretch
Sitwiththesolesofyourfeettogetherandyourkneesoutward.Pullyourfeet

2. The Functions are not working properly or display incorrectly.
• Checkthattheconnectoronthebackoftheconsolispluggedincorrectly.
• Presstheresetbuttomtotestiftheerrorhascorrecteditself.
3. There is no pulse reading or the data displayed is unstable.
• Checkthatthereisaproperconnectionbetweenyourhandsandthehandpulse
connector(thehandpulsesensorswillnotoperatecorrectlyifyourskinisextremelydry.Moistenyourhandsand
tryagain).
• Checkthattheconnectedwireisnotbroken.
• Resetandcarefullyfollowtheinstructionsinthemanual.

12. TROJAN 1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Masstores(Pty)Ltd(“theSupplier”)herebyprovidesalimitedwarrantytotheoriginalpurchaserofthisproduct(“theConsumer”)
thatthisproductwillbefreeofmanufacturingdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanshipwhichundernormal,personal,familyorhouse-
holduse(commercialuseexpresslyexcluded)manifestthemselveswithinthefollowingstipulatedperiodsfromthedateofpurchase:
Exclusions
The warranty does not include and will not be construed to cover products damaged as a result of disaster, misuse,
commercial use, use not in accordance with the written instructions included with the product, abuse, and/or any
non-authorizedmodicationoftheproduct.Italsodoesnotcoverreplacementofthelightbulbsandotherexpendables.
All demo models carry a 3 month warranty.
Waiver
The warranty provided herein and the obligations of the Supplier are in lieu of, and the Customer waives, all other warranties,
guarantees,conditionsorliabilities,expressorimplied,arisingbylaworotherwise,includingwithoutlimitation,anyobligationofthe
Supplier in respect of any injury , loss or damage (direct, indirect or consequential) arising out of the use of, or inability to use, this
product and whether or not occasioned by the Supplier’s negligence or any act or omission on its part.
Claims under 1 Year Limited Warranty
Within 7 days of purchase:
Thefaultyproductwillbeexchanged(providedthattheproductisinitsoriginalpackagingwithallaccessories).
After 7 days but within 3 months of purchase:
The Supplier may in its sole discretion either replace or repair the product.
After 3 months but within 1 year of purchase:
The Supplier may in its sole discretion either replace or repair the product. The following shall not be covered:
• Treadmills:RunningDecks,RunningBelts,RubberArmCoversandallCosmetics.
• Exercise Bikes/Spinners: Pedals,Cranks,SeatsandRubberArmCovers.
• Cross Trainers/ Ellipticals/ Steppers:FootRests,Cranks,Shocks,andRubber/FoamArmCovers.
• Home Gyms: Pulleys, Cables, Seats, Padding and End Caps.
• Trampolines: Springs, Mats, and Covers. Safety Nets: Net, Fastners and Zip.
• Rowers: Rowing Strap / Rope / Arms, Pulling Handle, Grip, Moveable Seat.
• Vibration Trainers. Platform /Rubber Arm Cover/ Resistance Bands.
Parts not mentioned in the above, are covered under warranty within the 1st year of purchase

Proof of Purchase
Any claim in terms of the warranty must be supported by a proof of purchase or a warranty number.
Warranty numbers can be issued through contacting our call centre on 0861 Trojan (0861 876 526),
or online at www.trojanhealth.co.za. If such proof is not available, then notwithstanding anything to the
contrary herein, the service agent’s prevailing charges for services/repairs including call-out and/or spares will
be payable by the Consumer upon collection or delivery of the repaired product.
The Consumer does not need to return the product to the store.
The Consumer shall phone the Trojan hotline on 0861 Trojan (0861 876 526)andtheSupplier’sauthorizedagentwill
at its discretion either repair the item at the Consumer’s residence or collect and repair the item at their premises.
During the warranty period the product may only be serviced and/or repaired by the Supplier’s duly
authorizedagent(s).

13. TROJAN REPAIRS PROCEDURE
1. Procedure for repairs
ShouldyouexperienceanyfaultsorbreakdownsonyourTrojanequipment,pleaseadheretothefollowingprocedure
to have the fault rectified speedily and professionally.
• Donotreturntheproducttothestore*
• Call0861 Trojan (0861 876526) to log the faulty product (under warranty or out of warranty)
• Theoperatorortechnicaladvisorwilltryidentifythefault,andwillbookaserviceteamcallout.
• Theserviceteamwillendeavourtoxtheprobleminyourhomeonanagreeddateandtime.
• Onlyifthefaultcannotberepairedintheconvenienceofyourhome,willtheserviceteamtakethe
faultyproductbacktotheservicecentre.
• Itemsrepairedinourservicecentrewillbereturnedtoyourhomeonanagreeddateandtime.
* Note:
Should you live in an outlying area, it may be neccessary to return the product to the store nearest to you.Our service
operator will advise you of your repair procedure.
2. Cost of Repairs
2.1
Under warranty
• Anyitemsstillunderwarrantywillberepairedfreeofcharge,aslongasitcomplieswiththetermsand
conditionsofthewarranty.(referto“warranties”sectioninthismanual)
• AnyitemsthatneedtoberepairedthatareNOTcoveredinthewarrantywillbefortheconsumer’s
expense.Aquotefortherepair/replacementoftheseitemswillbeprovidedtotheconsumerfor
approval prior to repairs being conducted.
2.2
Out of Warranty
• Anyitemsthatneedtoberepairedoncethewarrantyhasexpiredwillbefortheconsumer’sexpense
including call out fees. A quote for the repair/replacement of these items will be provided to the
consumer for approval prior to repairs being conducted.
