ESDDamage-AlwayshandletheproductinanESDsafeenvironment.EvenifprecautionsaretakenthereisalwaysariskofESD
damage.Thedamagecanremainundetectedandcauseproblemsduringthelifetimeoftheequipment.

Preparations
•Maskcrucialpartsoftheproducttopreventpaintfromenteringinside.
•Cleantheareastoberepaintedfromgrease,dustandoil,andpretreatthedifferentpartsusingapplicablemethodsbased
onthepartmaterialsandthetypeofpaintappliedatthefactory
Important
Disassemblingtheproductforrepaintingpurposesmeansthatitsingressprotection(IP)ratingcannotbeguaranteed.
Disassemblywillresultinlapseofwarranty.
Masking
Maskthefollowingparts:
•Microphoneholes
•Allvisiblescrewsandscrewholes
•Allopenings
Pretreatmentofparts
Dependingonthepartmaterialandtypeofpaintappliedatfactory,differentpretreatmentshouldbedoneforthenewpaintto
adhereaswellaspossible.Cleanthepartsproperlytoremoveoil,greaseanddust.

Powdercoatedparts-Useaprimer.Alternatively,removetheoriginalpowdercoatingdowntothebasematerial,usingne
sandpaper,andcleanthepartsbeforepainting.
Anodisedandchromatedparts-Useaprimer.
Uncoatedstainlesssteel-Nospecialpretreatmentisneeded,butmakesurethatthesurfaceiscleanbeforepainting.

2.Makesurethatmaskinghasbeendone,seeMaskingonpage3.
CAUTION
Themicrophoneholes(1)mustbemaskedbeforepaintingtomakesurethepaintwillnotclogtheholes.Ifpaintclogs,
themicrophonewillnotregisteranysound.
3.Applyathinandevenlayerofspraypaintaccordingtotheinstructionsofthepaintmanufacturer.
4.Letthepaintdry.
5.Togetabettercoverageandclearercolor,applyasecondlayerofspraypaint.
6.Waittillthepaintisdry.
