BEFORE USE
Before use, please read this manual carefully.
Only connect the appliance to an earthed wall socket.
This appliance is for household use only. When using electrical
appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
avoid res, electric shocks, burns, or other injuries and damage. Read
these operating and safety instructions carefully.
Our powerful portable air conditioners are great cooling solutions
for single rooms, creating a comfortable atmosphere in your space.
It also has ventilation and dehumidifying function for circulating air
and removal of moisture. They’re self-contained systems that do not
require any permanent installation allowing you to move to the space in
which it is most needed. They’re commonly used in kitchen, temporary-
resided, computer rooms, garages, and many other places where
installation of Air-conditioner Outdoor Unit is limited.
The environmentally friendly R290 is used as the refrigerant. R290
has no damaging inuence on the ozone layer (ODP), a negligible
greenhouse effect (GWP) and is available worldwide. Because of its
efcient energy properties, R290 is highly suitable as a coolant for this
application. Special precautions must be taken into consideration due
to the coolant’s high ammability.
This unit uses a ammable refrigerant.
If refrigerant leaks and comes in contact with re
or heating part, it will create harmful gas and
there is risk of re.
Read the USER MANUAL carefully
before operation.
Further information is available in the
USER MANUAL, SERVICE MANUAL.
Service personnel are required to carefully read
the USER MANUAL and SERVICE MANUAL
before operation.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS (4/6)
Warning: Any person who is involved with working on or breaking
into a refrigerant circuit should hold a current valid certicate from
an industry-accredited assessment authority, which authorizes their
competence to handle refrigerants safely in accordance with an
industry, recognized assessment specication.
Warning: Servicing shall only be performed as recommended by
the equipment manufacturer. Maintenance and repair requiring
the assistance of other skilled personnel shall be carried out under
the supervision of the person competent in the use of ammable
refrigerants.
43. Checks to the area:
Prior to beginning work on systems containing ammable refrigerants,
safety checks are necessary to ensure that the risk of ignition is
minimized. For repair to the refrigerating system, the following
precautions shall be complied with prior to conducting work on the
system.
44. Work procedure:
Work shall be undertaken under a controlled procedure so as to
minimize the risk of a ammable gas or vapor being present while the
work is being performed.
45. General work area:
All maintenance staff and others working in the local area shall be
instructed on the nature of work being carried out. Work in conned
spaces shall be avoided. The area around the work space shall be
sectioned off. Ensure that the conditions within the area have been
made safe by control of ammable material.
46. Checking for presence of refrigerant:
The area shall be checked with an appropriate refrigerant detector
prior to and during work, to ensure the technician is aware of
potentially ammable atmospheres. Ensure that the leak detection
equipment being used is suitable for use with ammable refrigerants,
i.e. no sparking, adequately sealed or intrinsically safe.
47. Presence of re extinguisher:
If any hot work is to be conducted on the refrigeration equipment or
any associated parts, appropriate re extinguishing equipment shall
be available to hand. Have a dry powder or CO2 re extinguisher
adjacent to the charging area.
Portable Airconditioner - English manual 11
EN
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS (5/6)
48. No ignition sources:
No person carrying out work in relation to a refrigeration system
which involves exposing any pipe work that contains or has contained
ammable refrigerant shall use any sources of ignition in such a manner
that it may lead to the risk of re or explosion. All possible ignition
sources, including cigarette smoking, should be kept sufciently far
away from the site of installation, repairing, removing and disposal,
during which ammable refrigerant can possibly be released to the
surrounding space. Prior to work taking place, the area around the
equipment is to be surveyed to make sure that there are no ammable
hazards or ignition risks. “No Smoking” signs shall be displayed.
49. Ventilated area:
Ensure that the area is in the open or that it is adequately ventilated
before breaking into the system or conducting any hot work. A degree
of ventilation shall continue during the period that the work is carried
out. The ventilation should safely disperse any released refrigerant and
preferably expel it externally into the atmosphere.
50. Checks to the refrigeration equipment:
Where electrical components are being changed, they shall be
t for the purpose and to the correct specication. At all times the
manufacturer’s maintenance and service guidelines shall be followed. If
in doubt consult the manufacturer’s technical department for assistance.
The following checks shall be applied to installations using ammable
refrigerants:
– The charge size is in accordance with the room size within which the
refrigerant containing parts are installed;
– The ventilation machinery and outlets are operating adequately and
are not obstructed;
– If an indirect refrigerating circuit is being used, the secondary circuit
shall be checked for the presence of refrigerant;
– Marking to the equipment continues to be visible and legible.
Markings and signs that are illegible shall be corrected;
– refrigeration pipe or components are installed in a position
where they are unlikely to be exposed to any substance which may
corrode refrigerant containing components, unless the components
are constructed of materials which are inherently resistant to being
corroded or are suitably protected against being so corroded.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS (6/6)
51. Checks to electrical devices:
Repair and maintenance to electrical components shall include initial
safety checks and component inspection procedures. If a fault exists that
could compromise safety, then no electrical supply shall be connected
to the circuit until it is satisfactorily dealt with. If the fault cannot be
corrected immediately but it is necessary to continue operation, an
adequate temporary solution shall be used. This shall be reported to the
owner of the equipment so all parties are advised.
Initial safety checks shall include:
-those capacitors are discharged: this shall be done in a safe manner to
avoid possibility of sparking;
-that there no live electrical components and wiring are exposed while
charging, recovering or purging the system;
-that there is continuity of earth bonding.
WARNING
Install the unit in rooms which exceed 12 m².

ATTACH THE HOSE
The air conditioner requires being vented outside so that the exhaust air
can escape the room which coming from the appliance contains waste
heat and moisture.
Do not replace or extend exhaust hose which will result in decreased
efciency, even worse shut down the unit due to low backpressure.
Step 1: Connect the windows kit adapter to the other end of the
exhaust hose.
Step 2: Extend the adjustable window kit the length of your window.
Connect the exhaust hose to the window kit.
Step 3: Close your window to secure the kit in place. It needs to hold
the windows kit rmly in place, secure the window kit with duct tape if
required. It is recommended that the gap between the adapter and the
sides of the window should be sealed off for maximum efciency.
