Safety information
Read the operating instructions and act
accordingly. Keep the operating instructions for
general use.
Obey the safety information and the warnings
on the device.
General safety information
Children and youths under the age of 16
(local provisions can determine the minimum
age for the user), persons under the influence
of alcohol, drugs or medical preparations or
people who do not know the operating instruc-
tions are not allowed to use the device.
Keep people (attention: children!) and animals
away from the danger zone.
Only position the device on a level, horizontal,
hard and dry base where it is stable.
Always wear goggles, hearing protection
and protective gloves when the device is in
operation.
Keep parts of the body or clothing away from
the cutting gear. Do not put your hand into the
funnel or the discharge.
Operating times
On the basis of the Lawn Mower Ordinance
according to the Federal Emission Protection
Act, “operating lawnmowers”:
Monday – Saturday
7 a.m. – 12 midday
3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Not allowed on Sundays and Public Holidays.
Please also observe the operating times
permitted on a local basis.
Only operate the device if it has been put
together completely and properly. Never
operate the device with parts damaged or with
protective appliances missing.
Switch the device off, pull the plug out and wait
for the cutting gear to come to a standstill after
each use and if there is a fault, also when lea-
ving and transporting the appliance.
Mains connection
The mains voltage and the kind of current must
correspond to those on the name plate.
The mains must be secured with the fuse
stated.
Only operate the device with a mains socket
(shock-proof) secured with a 30 mA residual
current fuse.
Connection leads (max. 50 m) according to the
following specification: minimum cross-
section 3 x 1.5 mm

, not lighter than light
rubber hoses HO5 RN-F to DIN / VDE 0282 or
device connection leads proven to be suitable
for lawn mowers.
The plug and the coupling must be made of or
covered with rubber and fulfil DIN / VDE 0620.
The connection device must be protected
against splashed water. Damaged, fragile or
tangled leads are not admissible – danger for
life!
Use
Risk of injury by sharp blades with upper
part of housing hinged open. Wear protective
gloves in all work on the blades.
Before use, make a visual check of the blade
disk, the blades and the countersunk screws
for wear or damage.
Before use, always make sure that the shredder
is empty.
Do not put any foreign bodies – e.g. objects of
stone, glass, metal, bone, plastic – in. Roots of
all kinds, plastic bags, wood from fruit boxes,
material residue, paper, cardboard, wire, ropes
etc. can damage the device.
Keep the connection lead away from the
cutting gear.
Do not leave the machine standing in the rain
or use when raining.
