USER INSTRUCTIONS
ASSEMBLY OF THE HEATER
(FOR USE ON THE FLOOR AS A PORTABLE APPLIANCE)
Before using the heater, the feet (supplied separately in the box), must be
tted to the unit. These are to be attached to the base of the heater using
the four self-tapping screws provided. Ensure that they are positioned
correctly to the side moulding at the bottom of the heater.
Please read this instruction manual carefully before using the
heater for the rst time and always keep these instructions.

WALL MOUNTING
(FOR USE OF THE HEATER AS A FIXED APPLIANCE)
The heater is supplied with four (of each) xing brackets, screws and
plastic wall plugs to enable it to be mounted onto a wall if required. If it
is decided to mount the heater on the wall, the feet should not be tted.
The wall positioning must be chosen carefully. It must not be in front of or
below a power socket. It must NOT be below a shelf, curtains or any other
obstructions. Refer to the Safety Instructions.
There must be a minimum distance of 400 mm between the oor and the
bottom of the heater. Allowance must be made for any oor coverings,
carpets etc, and if any skirting boards are present.
Drill two xing holes 486 mm apart on a horizontal line to the oor using an
8 mm drill bit.
Using the plastic plugs and xing screws provided, attach 2 of the xing
brackets to the wall.
The other pair of xing brackets must be attached to the base of the heater
using the retaining screws so that the brackets project out at the rear of the
heater and hold the bottom edge of the heater away from the wall.
Clip the heater onto the two brackets that are secured onto the wall.
If required, the bottom brackets may also be secured to the wall using the
remaining xing screws and plastic wall plugs.

It is suggested that the heater is hung on the upper brackets and the hole
positions for the lower brackets are then marked on the wall prior to drilling
the holes for attachment purposes. See the gures below.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
(TO BE READ BEFORE OPERATING THE HEATER)

OPERATION OF THE HEATER
POWER SETTINGS
Note: It is normal for the heater to emit a smell and fumes when it is turned
on for the rst time or after not being used for a prolonged period.
The fumes will disappear after a short while of the heater being in use.
1. Choose a suitable location for the heater, as per the safety instructions
stated above.
2. Insert the plug of the heater into a suitable socket.
3. Turn the thermostat knob fully in a clockwise direction to set it to the
maximum setting.
4. Turn on the heating elements using the switches situated on the side
panel. When the heating elements are on, the switches will illuminate.
For maximum heat output, both of the switches should be on.
5. When the desired room temperature has been reached, the thermostat
knob should slowly be turned anti-clockwise; until a click can be heard
and the lights on the element switches turn off. After this, the heater
will regulate the air temperature in the room by switching on and off
automatically.
There are two separate power settings: 750 W & 1250 W.
The settings can be used individually or combined to get the heater to work
on 2000 W power.
Turn on the 750 setting; the heater works on 750 W power.
Turn on the 1250 setting; the heater works on 1250 W power.
Turn on both settings; the heater works on 2000 W power.
| 8
Always unplug the heater from the wall socket and allow it to cool
down completely before cleaning.
Only clean the outside of the heater by wiping it with a damp cloth and
dry it with a dry cloth. Do not use any detergents or abrasives.
Do not allow any water to enter the heater.
When the heater is not in use for a prolonged period, it should be protected
from gathering dust and stored in a clean, dry place. If the unit is mounted
on the wall, make sure that it is kept clean and free of dust.
