Mounting on a DIN rail

How to Unlock the Fixed Hooks 1

(1) Insert a slotted screwdriver (the point should be smaller than 4.5mm) into a hole (see the figure below).

(2) By using the screwdriver as leverage, move it upward in the direction of the arrow to unlock.

How to Unlock the Fixed Hooks 2

If your slotted screwdriver is not suitable for the hole.

(1) Place the slotted screwdriver (the point should be smaller than 8mm) as shown in the figure.

(2) Rotate the screwdriver 90-degree in either direction.

How to mount

(1) Pull down the fixed hook at the bottom to unlock.

(2) Hang the product on the upper part of the DIN rail, and press it to the lower side of the DIN rail.

(3) Push up the hook to lock.

Confirm whether the product has been securely mounted onto the DIN rail.

Network Cables

Cables meeting the following specifications should be used:

- 10BASE-T : Equal to greater than Category 3 UTP, STP cable 100m or less

- 100BASE-TX : Equal to greater than Category 5 UTP, STP cable 100m or less

- There are straight/cross UTP and STP cables. Auto MDI/MDI-X feature allows connection of your Switching HUB

unit to a personal computer (LAN adapter) or another HUB unit and a bridges using either a straight or cross cable.

Inspection

Inspect the product periodically as follows to use it safely.

Neither dust nor alien substance is attached to the ventilation slits.

- To clean this product, gently wipe it with a soft cloth soaked with water or a neutral detergent. Do not use benzene, a thinner, or other volatile solvents as they can cause

the coating to discolor or peel off.

- When connecting cables, first check the shapes of connectors (such as LAN connectors), and then insert them in the correct orientation. After they are connected, do not

put too much load on the connected part. Doing so may result in poor contact or damage to this product and the connected part.

- Do not touch terminals of the product with your hands in operation. Otherwise, this product may malfunction, overheat, or cause a failure.

- The specification of this product is subject to change without notice for enhancement and quality improvement. Even when using this product continuously, be sure to

read the manual of CONTEC’s website and understand the contents.

- If you move or transfer the product, make sure to attach the Setup Guide (this document).

- To use the product in places affected by overcurrent or overvoltage (lightning surge, etc.), select appropriate surge protection device (SPD) for all entry paths (power line,

LAN, gro und, etc.). For selection/introduct ion/installatio n of SPD, p lease consult a specialis t.
