Disconnect the outside aerial cable from
the TV set and reconnect it to the
( IN socket) on your video recorder.
Connect the TV set to the video recorder
( OUT socket) with the supplied aerial
cable.
Connect the video recorder to a mains
socket with the mains lead. The display
on the video recorder comes on.
For other connection possibilities, turn to the end of this manual.

SETTING UP THE VIDEO RECORDER
To set your video recorder up, you will need the User
Manual of your TV set. We recommend that you perform
all set-up steps up to page 7 inclusive in one go.

If the picture is poor (snow,
tearing…), change the video
recorder communication channel
with the -/+ keys.
The picture disappears, return to
stage 3 to find the new channel.
If the picture is good, store
the setting on the TV set
and continue to the next
page.
Switch on your TV set and
refer to its user manual to
tune the channels.
Choose a programme number
without a picture. This
programme will be reserved
for pictures from the video
recorder.

Tune this programme on the
TV set to the communication
channel of your video
recorder.
If you want to change the
menu language, press B
(French, English, German,
Italian).

It is necessary to tune the TV set to enable it to communicate with the video
recorder via the supplied aerial cable.
You will now be able to view pictures from the video recorder by selecting
the channel chosen during stage 2 with the TV set.

successfully programme recordings.
Your video recorder recognises the automatic time setting signals transmitted by certain
channels. Once the automatic set up of the channels is complete, check the information
displayed.

Your video recorder automatically attributes TV channel number 99 to channel 38. This channel is usually used by satellite
receivers to transmit pictures through the aerial cable to another unit (TV or video recorder in this case).

Some countries (Switzerland, Netherlands...) have staggered or half-channels. To receive the channels from your cable network, for each TV
channel you should enter the nearest channel (e.g. 45 for 45.5) and use the fine tuning in stage 6. Consult your cable operator to obtain the list of
the channels.
When a channel is found, the
pictures appear. If the pictures
are poor, try FINNETUNING
(press B, then adjust with
-/+). If the adjustment is
correct, press B to carry on
with channel set-up.
For 2-digit channels,
press 0/-- first
(example: 0, 1, 2 for Pr12).
If you have a decoder
connected to AV2, choose
DECODER ON to turn the
connection on and enter the
channel number.
