Definitions
Whenever used, the following items identify safety and property damage messages and
designate a level of hazard seriousness.
This is the safety alert symbol. It alerts you to potential personal injury hazards.
Obey all safety messages that follow this symbol to avoid possible injury or death.
DANGER: Indicates an imminently hazardous situation, which, if not avoided, will result in
death or serious injury. Usage of this signal word is limited to the most extreme situations.
WARNING: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation, which, if not avoided, could result
in death or serious injury.
CAUTION: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation, which, if not avoided, may result in
minor/moderate injury.
NOTICE: Addresses practices not related to personal injury, such as product and/or
property damage.
READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.

WARNING To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or serious personal injury:
• Do not use this product near water; e.g. near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub,
in a wet basement, near a swimming pool, or the like.
• This is an electrical product — not a toy. To avoid risk of fire, burns, personal injury and
electric shock it should not be played with or placed where small children can reach it.
• Do not hang ornaments or other objects on the frame, wire or light string.
• Situate this product away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, electric heaters,
stoves, candles, working fireplaces, or other appliances (including amplifiers) that
produce heat.
• Do not cover the product with cloth, paper, or any material not part of the product when
in use.
• If the product is placed on a live tree, the tree should be well maintained and fresh. Do not
place on live trees in which the needles are brown or break o easily. Keep the tree holder
filled with water. The tree should be well secured and stable.
• Operate the product only with the supplied power adapter. For operation from battery
power, refer to the operating instructions.
• Route power cords so they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or
against them, paying particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the
point where they exit from the product.
• Do not secure the wiring with staples or nails, or place on sharp hooks or nails.
• Do not close doors or windows on the product or extension cords.
• Clean the product only as recommended by the manufacturer (see the "Care and
Maintenance" section for details).
• Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet before cleaning.
• Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet when left unused for an extended period.
• Take care that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into the product case through
product openings.
