WARNING:
WHEN USING ELECTRIC TOOLS, BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD

PERSONAL INJURY, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
1. KNOW YOUR POWER TOOL. Read the
owner's manual carefully. Learn the tools
applications and limitations, as well as the
specic potential hazards peculiar to it.
2. KEEP GUARDS IN PLACE and in working
order.
3 . R E MO VE A D JU ST IN G K EY S A ND
WRENCHES. Form habit of checking to see
that keys and adjusting wrenches are removed
from tool before turning it on.
4. KEEP WORK AREA CLEAN. Cluttered
areas and benches invite accidents.
5 . D O N ' T U S E I N D A N G E R O U S
ENVIRONMENT. Don't use power tools in
damp or wet locations, or expose them to rain.
Keep work area well lighted.
6. KEEP CHILDREN AWAY. All visitors should
be kept safe distance from work area.
7. MAKE WORKSHOP KID PROOF with
padlocks, master switches, or by removing
starter keys.
8. DON'T FORCE TOOL. It will do the job
better and safer at the rate for which it was
designed.
9. USE RIGHT TOOL. Don't force tool or
attachment to do a job for which it was not
designed; For Example - Don't use circular saw
for cutting tree limbs or logs.
10. WEAR PROPER APPAREL. Wear no loose
clothing, gloves, neckties, rings, bracelets, or
other jewelry which may get caught in moving
parts. Nonslip footwear is recommended. Wear
protective hair covering to contain long hair.
11. ALWAYS USE SAFETY GLASSES. Also
use face or dust mask if cutting operation is
dusty. Everyday eyeglasses only have impact
resistant lenses, they are NOT safety glasses.
12. SECURE WORK. Use clamps or a vise to
hold work when practical. It's safer than using
your hand and it frees both hands to operate
tool.
13. DON'T OVERREACH. Keep proper footing
and balance at all times.
14. MAINTAIN TOOLS WITH CARE. Keep
tools sharp and clean for best and safest
performance. Follow instructions for lubricating
and changing accessories.
15. DISCONNECT TOOLS before servicing;
when changing accessories such as blades,
bits, cutters, and the like.
16. REDUCE THE RISK OF UNINTENTIONAL
STARTING. Make sure switch is in off position
before plugging in.
17. USE RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES.
Consult the owner's manual for recommended
accessories. The use of improper accessories
may cause risk of injury to persons.
18. NEVER STAND ON TOOL. Serious injury

could occur if the tool is tipped or if the cutting
tool is unintentionally contacted.
19 . CHECK DAM A G ED PARTS. Before
further use of the tool, a guard or other part
that is damaged should be carefully checked
to determine that it will operate properly and
perform its intended function - check for
alignment of moving parts, binding of moving
parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and any
other conditions that may affect its operation. A
guard or other part that is damaged should be
properly repaired or replaced.
20. DIRECTION OF FEED. Feed work into a
blade or cutter against the direction of rotation
of the blade or cutter only.

UNATTENDED. TURN POWER OFF. Don't
leave tool until it comes to a complete stop.

23. POLARIZED PLUGS. To reduce the risk of
electric shock, this equipment has a polarized
plug (one blade is wider than the other). This
plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not t fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied
electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not
change the plug in any way.
VOLTAGE WARNING: Before connecting the
tool to a power source (receptacle, outlet, etc.)
be sure the voltage supplied is the same as
that specied on the nameplate of the tool. A
power source with voltage greater than that
specified for the tool can result in SERIOUS
INJURY to the user - as well as damage tothe
tool. If in doubt, DO NOT PLUG IN THE TOOL.
Using a power source with voltage less than
the nameplate rating is harmful to the motor.
EXTENSION CORDS. Make sure your extension cord is in good condition. When using an
extension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carry the current your product will draw. An
undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of power and overheating. Table
1 shows the correct size to use depending on cord length and nameplate ampere rating. If in
doubt, use the next heavier gauge. The smaller the gauge number, the heavier the cord.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES
1. Wear hearing protection during extended
periods of operation.
2. Use only wheels ha ving a ma ximum
operating speed at least as high as "No Load
RPM" marked on the tool's nameplate. Use
only berglass-reinforced cut-off wheels.
3. Check the wheel carefully for cracks or
damage before operation. Replace cracked or
damaged wheel immediately.
4. Secure the wheel carefully.
5. Use only anges specied for this tool.
6. Be careful not to damage the spindle,
anges (especially the installing suface) or bolt,
or the wheel itself might break.
7. Keep guards in place and in working order.
8. Hold the handle rmly.
9. Keep hands away from rotating parts.
10. Make sure the wheel is not contacting the
workpiece before the switch is turned on.
11. Be f o r e u s i n g t h e tool on an actual
workpiece, let it simply run for several minutes
first. Watch for flutter or excessive vibration
that might be caused by poor installation or a
poorly balanced wheel.
12. Watch out for ying sparks when operating.
They can cause injury or ignite combustible
materials.
13. Remove material or debris from the area
that might be ignited by sparks. Be sure that
others are not in the path of the sparks. Keep
a proper, charged fire extinguisher closely
available.
14. Use the cutting edge of the wheel only.
Never use side surface.
15. Do not attempt to keep the trigger in the
ON position.
16. If the wheel stops during the operation,
makes an odd noise or begins to vibrate,
switch off the tool immediately.
17. Always switch off and wait for the wheel
to come to a complete stop before removing,
securing workpiece, working vise, changing
work position, angle or the wheel itself.
18. Do not touch the workpiece immediately
after operation; it is extremely hot and could
burn your skin.
19. Store wheels in a dry location only.

Caution - Read the operating
instructions to reduce the risk of
inquiry
Wear ear-muffs. The impact
of noise can cause damage to
hearing.
Wear a breathing mask. Dust
which is injurious to health can
be generated when working on
wood and other materials. Never
use the device to work on any
materials containing asbestos!
Wear safety goggles. Sparks
generated during working or
splinters, chips and dust emitted
by the device can cause loss of
sight.

operating instructions and safety regulations
with due care.
Keep this manual in a safe place, so that the
information is available at all times. If you
give the equipment to any other person, hand
over these operating instructions and safety
regulations as well. We cannot accept any
liability for damage or accidents which arise
due to a failure to follow these instructions and
the safety instructions.

2.2 Items supplied
Please check that the article is complete as
speci ed in the scope of delivery. If parts are
missing, please contact our service center or
the sales outlet where you made your purchase
at the latest within 5 working days after
purchasing the product and upon presentation
of a valid bill of purchase. Also, refer to the
warranty table in the service information at the
end of the operating instructions.
• Open t he packaging and take out the
equipment with care.
• Remove the packaging material and any
packaging and/or transportation braces (if
available).
• Check to see if all items are supplied.
• Inspect the equipment and accessories for
transport damage.
• If possible, please keep the packaging until
the end of the guarantee period.
Important!
The equipment and packaging material
are not toys. Do not let children play with
plastic bags, foils or small parts. There is a
danger of swallowing or suffocating!

3. Proper use
The double grinder is a multi-function tool for
the rough and precision grinding of metals,

plastics and other materials using a selection
of grinding wheels.
The machine must only be used for its intended
purpose! Even if the machine is used as
intended, certain residual risk factors cannot be
completely eliminated. The following hazards
may arise in connection with the machine’s
construction and layout:
• Contact with the grinding wheel where it is not
covered.
• Catapulting of parts from damaged grinding
wheels.
• Catapulting of workpieces and parts of
workpieces from the machine.
• Damage to hearing if ear-muffs are not used
as necessary.
The equipment is to be used only for its
prescribed purpose. Any other use is deemed
to be a case of misuse. The user / operator
and not the manufacturer will be liable for any
damage or injuries of any kind caused as a
result of this.
Please note that our equipment has not been
designed for use in commercial, trade or
industrial applications. Our warranty will be
voided if the machine is used in commercial,
trade or industrial businesses or for equivalent
purposes.
5.1 Fitting the spark re ector
(Fig. 2-4 / Item 3)
Fit the spark re ector (3) to the double wheel
grinder/sander using the adjusting screw (10).
5.2 Adjusting the spark re ector
(Fig. 5 / Item 3)
• Adjust the spark deflector (3) using the
adjusting screw (10) so that the distance
between the dry grinding wheel (5) and the
spark deector (3) is as small as possible and
certainly does not exceed 2 mm.
• Adjust the spark deflector (3) periodically to
compensate for wear on the wheel.
5.3 Fitting the workpiece supports
(Fig. 6 / Item 7)
Undo the fastening screws (6). Secure the
workpiece supports (7) to the double wheel
grinder/sander using the fastening screws (6).
5.4 Adjusting the workpiece supports
(Fig. 7 / Item 7)
• Adjust the workpiece supports (7) using
the fastening screws (6) so that the distance
between the dry grinding wheel (5) and the
workpiece support (7) is as small as possible
and certainly does not exceed 2 mm.
• Adjust the workpiece supports (7) periodically
to compensate for wear on the dry grinding
wheel.
5.5 Changing the grinding wheel (Figs. 8-9)
Remove the 3 screws (A) holding the side
section of the safety hood (B) and remove the
safety hood. Undo the nut (D) (Important: The
left grinding wheel is fastened with a left-
handed thread and the right grinding wheel
with a right-handed thread), by holding
the nut of the grinding wheel mount on the
opposite side. Remove the fl ange (C). and
replace the grinding wheel (5). The grinding
wheel is mounted with the help of a rag. Mount
the ange (C) on the shaft and screw on the
nut (D) hand-tight. To tighten the nut (D), hold
the grinding wheel (5) with a rag and tighten
the nut (D).

6. Operation
6.1 ON/OFF switch (1)
To switch on the equipment set the On/Off
switch
(1) to position 1.
Move the ON/OFF switch (1) to position 0 to
switch off the equipment.
After switching on the equipment wait for the
equipment to reach its maximum speed of
rotation before commencing with the sanding/
grinding work.
6.2 Grinding
• We recommend that you use the ne-grained
grinding wheel for fine sanding/grinding work
and the coarse-grained grinding wheel for
coarse sanding/grinding work.
• Place the workpiece onto the workpiece
support (7) and slowly guide the workpiece
towards the grinding wheel (5) at the desired
angle to the point where workpiece and
grinding wheel make contact.
• Move the workspiece slightly back and forth
to produce an optimal grinding result. This way
the grinding wheel (5) is evenly worn. Allow the
workpiece cool every now and then.
Important!
If the grinding wheel becomes jammed during
operation, remove the workpiece and wait until
the tool reaches its top speed again.
7. Replacing the power cable
If the power cable for this equipment is
d a ma ge d, i t m us t b e re pl ac e d b y t he
manufacturer or its after-sales service or
similarly trained personnel to avoid danger.
8. Cleaning, maintenance and ordering of
spare parts
Always pull out the mains power plug before
starting any cleaning work.
8.1 Cleaning
• Keep all safety devices, air vents and the
motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as
possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean
cloth or blow it with compressed air at low
pressure.
• We recommend that you clean the device
immediately each time you have nished using
it.
• Clean the equipment regularly with a moist
cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning
agents or solvents; these could attack the
plastic parts of the equipment. Ensure that no
water can seep into the device. The ingress of
water into an electric tool increases the risk of
an electric shock.
8.2 Maintenance
There are no parts inside the equipment which
require additional maintenance.
8.3 Ordering replacement parts:
Please quote the following data when ordering
replacement parts:
• Type of machine
• Article number of the machine
• Identication number of the machine
• Replacement part number of the part required
9. Disposal and recycling
The equipment is supplied in packaging to
prevent it from being damaged in transit. The
raw materials in this packaging can be reused

or recycled. The equipment and its accessories
are made of various types of material, such
as metal and plastic. Never place defective
equipment in your household refuse. The
equipment should be taken to a suitable
collection center for proper disposal. If you do
not know the whereabouts of such a collection
point, you should ask in your local council of
ces.
10. Storage
Store the equipment and accessories out of
children’s reach in a dark and dry place at
above freezing temperature. The ideal storage
temperature is between 5 and 30 °C. Store the
electric tool in its original packaging.
