Carbon Ultra-Poly Gears
#12200, 12140, 12146, 12149, 35100*, 35200*
Tech Note
Due to different tolerances in OE and aftermarket distributors, COMP Cams® has only drilled
one side of your new Carbon Ultra-Poly gear so that it can be matched to your distributor shaft.
Check the hole sizes on your distributor as they vary by manufacturer.
Instructions
Install the Carbon Ultra-Poly Gear on the distributor shaft, using the single hole in the gear to
match the hole already in the distributor shaft as a guide. Using a drill press, drill though the
other side of the Carbon Ultra-Poly Gear using a drill bit matched to the hole in the shaft. Low
speed is recommended to prevent cracking of the gear.
*NOTE: If your gear already has two drilled holes, disregard these notes.
