Intended use

The product is designed for use as a light indoors and outdoors. The LED wall lamp is

built according to IP44 and can be mounted and operated both indoors and outdoors.

The wall lamp is not dimmable. The product is designed to be mounted on a wall. If

a passive infrared sensor (PIR) is built into the product (item no. 1218436), it turns the

lamp on when movement is detected in the vicinity. An adjustable timer turns the lamp

o again. The lamp must be turned on/o manually if there is no integrated sensor.

The safety information and all other information in these operating instructions must

be followed!

For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product.

If you use the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may

be damaged. In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting,

re, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this

product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Safety instructions

Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety

information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on

proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting

personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the

warranty/guarantee.

• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may

become dangerous playing material for children.

• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.

• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of

operation and protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no

longer be guaranteed if the product:

- is visibly damaged,

- is no longer working properly,

- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or

- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.

• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a

low height can damage the product.

• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices

which are connected to the product.

• Mount the lamp so that children cannot reach it.

• The lamp must only be operated using the mains voltage (see "Technical

data" section). Never try to operate the lamp using another type of voltage

as this will destroy the product.

• The product is designed according to protection class I; the earth wire

must be connected.

• Attention, LED light: Do not look directly into the LED light! Do not look into

the beam directly or with optical instruments!

• The lamp is designed according to IP44 and can be mounted and operated

both indoors and outdoors.

• Never mount or operate the product under water.

• Ensure that you mount the lamp in the correct mounting position (see

"Mounting and connection" section), otherwise there is risk of a fatal injury

due to an electric shock!

• The lamp must be not be operated using a dimmer.

• The product is not explosion proof. Never use the product in rooms which

contain or may contain ammable gases, vapours or combustible dusts!

There is a risk of explosion!

• Never point a garden hose or a pressure washer etc. at the product (e.g.

for cleaning)!

• The lamp must only be used when mounted in a xed location. Never

mount the lamp in vehicles.

• Do not hang or secure any objects (e.g. decorations) to the lamp.

• In industrial facilities, the accident prevention regulations for electrical

equipment and facilities issued by the Industrial Employers' Liability

Association must be adhered to!

• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of

the device.

• Maintenance, modications and repairs are to be performed exclusively

by an expert or at a qualied shop.

• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating

instructions, contact our technical support service or other technical

personnel.

Preparation for mounting

Pay attention to the "Safety instructions" section.

Note! The product must only be installed by a qualied electrician who is

familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g. VDE)! By carrying out improper

work on the mains voltage you endanger not only yourself, but also others!

If you do not know how to mount the product, get an expert to do it for you;

do not mount it yourself.

• Only mount the lamp on a stable surface. Depending on the surface, suitable screws

and dowels must be used.

• The lamp must be protected with a 10/16A fuse at the sub-distribution. An earth

leakage circuit breaker must be installed before this (FI protective switch).

• The lamp may only be installed when it is disconnected from the power supply. It is

not sucient just to turn o the light switch!

• Isolate all poles of the mains cable from the mains supply by removing the electric

circuit fuse or switching o the circuit breaker. Then turn o the earth leakage

circuit breaker. Protect it against an unauthorised restart, e.g. with a danger sign.

• Check that the mains cable is free of current, e.g. with an appropriate tester.

Mounting and connection

Pay attention to the information in the "Preparation for mounting" section.

• Begin by removing the wall mount from the lamp. To do this, turn the two acorn nuts

on the left and right completely and remove the wall mount from the lamp.

• Remove the screw terminal by carefully pulling it out of the wall mount.

Removing the insulation on the

cable

• Remove the outer insulation on the mains cable to a maximum length of about

16mm. Strip the insulation on each of the three wires on the mains cable to a length

of about 6mm. The earth cable (yellow-green cable) should be at least 6mm longer

so that it remains the last cable in the screw terminal in the event of a fault.

• Push the stripped mains cable through the rubber gasket from the wall side.

• Now secure the wall mount to a wall with two screws and, if necessary, dowels.

Depending on the surface, suitable screws and dowels may be required.

Ensure that no existing cables or pipes (also water pipes) are damaged

when drilling mounting holes or securing screws.

You only need to pay attention to the correct sensor orientation (vertical) for

item no. 1218436 (with PIR). Otherwise you can place the lamp in any desired

orientation.

• Connect the 3 wires on the mains cable to the 3-pole screw terminal (brown wire= L/

phase, blue wire = N/neutral wire, yellow-green wire = PE/earth wire/earth symbol

• Also check the other screw connections on the screw terminal (for the connection

cables to the LED driver) and tighten them if necessary.

• Place the screw terminal back on the retaining pins attached to the wall mount.

• Put the wall lamp on the wall mount and screw it in place with the two acorn nuts

that you unscrewed earlier. Ensure that you use the washers. Screw both of the

acorn nuts in place to secure the lamp to the wall.

Conguring the movement sensor (PIR)

(only possible for item no. 1218436)

TIME

SENS

Congure the sensitivity of the sensor. The registering of a

movement by the sensor depends on the distance from the

moving object. The PIR detection angle is 90° (horizontal) and

120 ° (vertical). Congure the reaction distance by turning the

SENS adjusting screw.

Turn the SENS adjusting screw clockwise to increase the

reaction distance (towards "+").

Turn the SENS adjusting screw anticlockwise to decrease the

reaction distance (towards "-").

TIME

Congure the time after which the lamp turns on after detecting

a moving object. The lamp turns on after a shorter or longer

time. The minimum time that can be set is 5 seconds, and the

maximum time is 360 seconds. Congure the time by turning the

TIME adjusting screw.

Turn the TIME adjusting screw clockwise to lengthen the

reaction time (towards "+").

Turn the TIME adjusting screw anticlockwise to shorten the

reaction time (towards "-").

• After dark, once an object radiating infrared rays (humans, animals, cars, etc.)

detected by the PIR sensor enters or moves within the detection range, the wall

lamp turns on automatically.

• The brightness sensitivity cannot be adjusted.

Maintenance and cleaning

• Never point a garden hose or a pressure washer at the LED exterior wall lamp!

• You do not need to carry out maintenance work on the product. Leave maintenance

or repair work to an expert. The light bulbs are rmly embedded and cannot be

changed.

• Turn o the mains voltage for the LED wall lamp before cleaning; let the lamp cool

down suciently.

• You can use a clean, soft and dry cloth to clean the lamp. Dust can be easily removed

using a clean and soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.

• Do not use any aggressive, chemical or abrasive detergents as these can result in

discolourations or even changes to the surface material.

Disposal

Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the

household waste.

At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the

relevant statutory regulations.

You thus full your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the

environment.
